Father's Home...

Crystal's P.O.V

It had been a rough day, and you were  extremely worn out. You had survived sophomore year of high school, but something felt... off... like you were being watched as you walked home. You decided to ignore it as you walked inside, your mother wasnt home yet... thank god... she was always comeing home drunk... or with a random man... but, shes all you have... from what little shes said about your dad, you know that he left when you were really little. Living with your mother was hard... whenever she would come home drunk or with a man or both... the moment the man left or the alcohol ran out she would yell and hit you, screaming at you to go buy some more alcohol or just because you're there and a target to focus her anger on. It seems that all you have to do is make a peep or make eye contact and she will hit you.

It would probably be a bit before she got home, so you decided to take a shower, to get the smell of high school off of you. Thirty minutes later, when you had dried off and put of your fav dark blue tank top and black sweatpants and sweatshirt, you realized how erily quiet the house was... something was up. You heard a dull thud come from you mothers office upstairs and you decided to investigate.

You reach your mothers office and are about to open the door when you hear yelling inside the room.

"YOU ARNT TAKING HER ANYWHERE!!!"

"YOU CANT KEEP HER FROM ME SHES MY DAUGHTER TO!!!"

You gasp and try to step back from the door, only to trip on your own feet and fall on your butt with a thud and a yelp. The yelling suddenly stops as your mother slams the door open. Behind her stands a tall lanky man, or... you think it was a man. He wore a black suit and a red tie, and his skin was pure white, and his face was blank! No mouth, nose, eyes, NOTHING!!! Your eyes widen as he attempts to walk towards you, before your mother places herself between you and him.

"STAY AWAY FROM US!"

A low growl eminated from the strange creature. Suddenly, a long tentacle wrapped itself around your mothers neck, lifting her into the air. You yell, for your mother was starting to turn blue. As you get up to try and get her down, you hear a sickining SNAP, as the tentacle breaks her neck, renderings her lifeless. You fall to your knees as a horrible wailing scream rips itself from your throat as the creature drops your mothers lifeless body in front of you.

"YOU... YOU KILLED HER!!!" You yelled at the crature, tears streaming from your eyes as you sob into your hands. You knew that she was a horrible person but she was still your mother.

"I know... im sorry child... it was for your own good" The creature says, crouching in front of you. He reaches for you, as if to caress your cheek, but you slap his hand away.

"DONT TOUCH ME!!" You wail. He grunts, reaching for you again, "LEAVE ME ALONE!!! I HATE YOU JUST GO AWAY!!" You yell at the creature, trying to smack his hand away again. The creature seemed to be getting slightly frustrated, but also weirdly... sad.

"Now, is that any way to talk to your father?" The creature asked, as your head snapped up to look at him.

"My... father?" You asked as he reached for you once again, but he withdrew his hand once he saw your expression, it was filled with pure anger. "How dare you..." You say quietly, " how dare you walk in here, kill my mother, and then claim to be my FATHER?! Well... Newsflash... BUDDY... My Father Is DEAD! HE HAS BEEN FOR A WHILE AND NOW THAT YOU KILLED MY MOTHER?!? I. HAVE. NO ONE!!... no one..." You start sobbing as you hug you sides and fall back to the floor. The creature looks at you, defeated, his heart breaking. He dosent seem to know what to do...

Until... you hear a clicking noise... then a music box... and... singing???

"You are my sunshine... my only sunshine..."

"You make me happy, when skys are gray..."

"You'll never know dear, how much i love you..."

"Please dont take, my sunshine away..."

"I'll always love you, and make you happy..."

"Cause you are my sunshine, my only sunshine..."

"You make me happy, when skys are gray..."

"You'll never know dear, Just how much i love you..."

"Please dont take, my sunshine away..."

"... please dont take... my sunshine, away..."

You stared at the creature in shock. He... he just sung the lullaby you always fell asleep to when you were little!!! You looked at what would be his face in curiosity and was shocked to see tears falling from where his eyes would be. You were stunned! You looked at him in awe, unable to speak... until...

"I... used to sing that to you... when you were little..." the creature said quietly. Your eyes were open as wide as the can go. He stood up and turned his back to you. Taking a shaky breath, he continued, "I... *sigh* I would completely understand if you never want to see me again-" He started walking away, but stoped. Something had grabbed his arm. He looked back to see you looking at him.

"C-Crystal?! W-what are you- OOF!!!" He grunted as you suddenly wrapped your arms around his waist and burryed your face in his chest, hugging him...

"I-im so sorry..." You whimpered into his chest, "Please... dont leave me alone..." He wrapped his arms around you and you flinch, he notices and frowns.

"You dont need to be afraid of me Crystal... i will NEVER hurt you... I PROMISE..." You nod and snuggle into his chest as he hugs you close to him. You both just sit there for a few minutes, not speaking or anything. "Crystal? How would you like to come home with me? I could help you control whatever powers that you may have... and... maybe we could get to know each other?"

You stay silent for a moment... thinking about the creatures offer... then...

"I think I'd like that... Dad..." He smiles, hugging you tightly. He lets you up, you try to stand only to find your leggs had fallen asleep whlile you two were sitting down. You stumble and almost fall on your face when a tentacle catches you. Slender carries you bridal style as you wrap your arms around his neck, hugging him. He chuckles, letting you snuggle him. He carried you out your front door and walked with you into the woods. The sounds of the forest and the warmth of his embrace soothed you to sleep. He noticed, kissing your forehead.

"Goodnight... Crystal..."
