That summer, the summer I will never forget. It started off like any other day, but then, when I met them, it seemed as if my life changed forever.
"Lucille! Wake up!" I heard mom calling me from downstairs. "I struggled to open my eyes to the bright light from the Sun. I remembered yesterday, it was the last day of school. "What mom, it's summer break, what do you want so early in the morning," I said stretching my arms up. "We ran out of supplies at the shop, I want you to go to town to buy some more supplies," she said out of patience. "Ok, ok, I understand," I said thinking that it was going to be the worst day ever. I got up and got ready, I went downstairs and took the basket and went out. I got on my bicycle and drove all the way to town. In town, I bought all the supplies and when I came out, I tried to find my bike but it was nowhere to be found. "Where in the world did my bike go?" I said quietly. I looked around and then someone patted my shoulder. "Hey young lady, are you looking for a bicycle?" Said an old man. "Yes, would you know where it is?" I said worriedly. "Well, I believe I just saw a man taking it away in that direction." He pointed towards a curb that was dark and I gulped. "Thank you old man, I hope you have a nice day." I rushed off towards the curb and saw someone trying to get my bike across the wall. "HEY! YOU THIEF! STOP RIGHT THERE!" I ran towards them but it was too late, they made it across the wall. I stopped and sat on my knees and started crying. It was a gift from father, it was very expensive too. Then, I heard footsteps coming closer to me. I looked up to see a boy around my age handing me a tissue from his pocket. "Here, even though you look beautiful when you cry, I believe you would look better if you are smiling." I took the tissue and wiped away my tears. "Who are you?" I said. "My name is Elian, and who may you be my beautiful lady?" He said smiling. "My name is Lucille," I said. "Well Lucille, I think we can be great friends. Can I have your number?" I blushed and nervously gave him my number. I see that you don't have a ride. Do you want a ride on my car?" "Um, sure..." He led me to his car and I saw how amazing it was, he must be rich since no one around here can really own a car unless they are rich. I told him where I lived and the person sitting in the driver's seat sent me to my house. As I got off he said, "Well, we'll see each other again, I'm sure of it." I waved goodbye as his car left. I went home and after I put the basket on the table for my mom, I went upstairs to my room and played by myself for a while. Then, after a few hours, my mom called the whole family downstairs to meet someone. "Everyone, this is Jaylon and he will stay with us from now on." I didn't even bother paying attention to him, instead, I worried about my little brother Julian who never was in a healthy state. "Are you alright Julian?" "I'm fine sis, more importantly, what do you think about Jaylon? He seems really nice." "Yea, ok..." I walked away into the backyard. There, I looked at the cherry blossoms and sat on the bench. Then, Jaylon also came out and walked towards me. "Hey, are you Lucille? I'm Jaylon from now on I guess we'll be friends?" "Yea sure." Then I stood up and walked to the driveway because I was getting really annoyed. He kept on following me and then I was really pissed. I started to turn around and walked backward not knowing where I was going. "Can you stop following me! It's getting annoying!" Then he shouted, "Watch out Lucille!" He ran towards me and grabbed me by the waist and pulled me back to the safety of the sidewalk. My heart was beating really fast, not because of the accident, but because Jaylon was still holding on to my waists and his face was really close to mine. Then we stared at each other and he let go. "Sorry, I was acting on my own," he said rubbing his head. "No it's fine," I said. After I went to my room again, I realized I had fallen in love with two people on the same day, same month, and same year...
