*Aarons POV*

(Beware not edited)

I threw Arynne's suitcases into my room-even though I'm incredibly mad at her for even attempting to reject me she will not be sleep anywhere else-and stormed into my my office which was just down the hall, slamming the door behind me shut.

The same thought has been running through my head all day, why did she want to reject me? When we were kids it was obvious she had a crush on me, it was even more obvious in my fifteenth birthday when a couple of the she-wolves in my pack started to flirt with me, and she and Caroline decided to give those girls a, uhh, reality check. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on my door.

"Aaron you better fucking open this god-damn door right now" I heard Caroline enraged voice. Wow sis, I think you'd be a great sailor one of these days.

"It's open, stupid" I responded quite childishly. A nice memory ran through my head as I remembered what happened earlier, when Arynne got herself into trouble with Caroline and ran behind my back for help, and then proceeded to stomp on my foot and stick out her adorable tongue, but it was all torn away when I remember that Arynne also tried to reject me.

"What did you do with Arynne's things? We've been looking for them like crazed baboons" Caroline said as she lazily took a seat on one of my couches I had in my office.

"They're in my room, where else would they be?" I asked as I continued to look threw the piles of papers I had stacked up neatly on my desk.

"Why are they in your room?" She asked me, curiously. I shrugged my shoulders, but did not respond. My heart still ached from all the things that happened today. I tried to focus on the stacks of paperwork I had, but not surprisingly all of my thoughts were being consumed by a single red-head.

"Awe!" She gushed as she stood up and started walking towards the door,"Okay, all I request is one of my many future nieces be named Caroline." By the time she was done saying that, I was out of my chair and running toward her. She yelped and screamed for help as she ran down the hallway.

"You little pest" I growled out playfully as I was just less than five feet away. She dodged my outstretched arms and turned toward the stairs. She sprinted down to about halfway, and then launched herself over the railing. I will still never figure out how she manages to do that so skilfully.

"Woe, woe, woe what's going on here." I heard the voice of my best friend, Jace question as he pulled Caroline into his tight embrace. Have I ever mentioned that Jace and Caroline are mates? 'cause they are. I looked at them, with jealously coursing threw my body as I looked at how they happy they were together. If Arynne wasn't so stubborn, we could have been like that right now. Jace threw Caroline over his shoulder, her screaming in protest but you could see her giggling. He looked at me, as if he was asking permission, and I nodded. They've been together for about a year and it still disgust me, and it will always disgust me to know that they've done 'it' before.

I looked at the watch I had around my left hand, it read 2:38. Huh, it felt a lot later than it actually was. I turned around, and was about to walk back into my office when the most addicting, yet familiar scent of coconut invaded my senses. I looked to my right and saw Arynne standing there, looking at me with apologetic eyes. What felt like hours, but couldn't be more than two minutes, we just stared at each other.

"Where are my suitcases?" She asked in a small voice. I felt shivers run threw my back at the sound of her melodic and soothing voice.

"In our room" I said back, still looking at her dead in the eye. All I got in response was a simple 'Oh' as she turned quickly and tried running to our room. Too bad I was faster. I caught her by the wrists and pulled her into a tight embrace. I felt her resist for maybe a span of ten seconds before she allowed herself to relish in the comfort I was providing for her.

"Why are you hugging me? Shouldn't you be yelling at me? Or fuming with anger?" She asked as she attempted to cross her arms over her chest, but failing miserably. I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. My mate was just so dense.

"I am completely angry at you but how could I resist this?" I said, as I rested my head on top of hers. She sighed sadly, and slumped against my chest. It's funny how just hours ago she tried to reject me, and now were hugging in the middle of the hallway. Pack members walks past us silently, beaming at the sight of me and my mate.

All of the sudden I heard the loudest grumble and I looked down at my embarrassed mate. She looked up at me with a crooked smile as her cheeks filled with warmth and redness.

"You up for some lunch?" I beamed down at her, with a smirk of my own.

"Uh sure?" she questioned herself. I took her by the hand and led her down another flight of stairs, outside and into the garage.

"Your pick of car" I said slowly as I turned on the lights. Several rows of cars laid before us. Perks and disadvantages of being an Alpha means people like to shower you with gifts, and for me the main gift was cars. Arynnes face lit up with surprise and she eyed a black 1967 Chevy Impala. Huh, girls got good choices.

"That one" She pointed at the beautiful car. She sprinted towards it with excitement clearly evident on her face. I laughed and grabbed the keys off of the rack. I unlocked the car and she dove in, looking around happily. As soon as I got into the front seat of the car we were off.

We sat in a somewhat awkward and somewhat comfortable silence with the radio playing softly. Tenish minutes later we arrived at the small diner I spend most of my weekends at; Henry's House. An old friend of my dad's owns it and whenever I come we like to talk about the old memories and the old ridiculous shit him and my dad use to do.

Arynne and I left the car, and a bunch of hungry eyes started to swarm my mate as we walked towards the front entrance. I wrapped my arm around her waist, possessively and upon realizing that she was in fact my mate 3/4 of the eyes abandoned the sight of her and all the males bowed there heads in apology and respect. It sucks that some humans also lived in this territory and they just don't understand the laws of mates. I lowly growled at the humans eyes that didn't seem to sway away, and that sure got them to look away. Arynne looked up at me with laughter floating threw out her beautiful grey eyes.

Rather quickly we were seated and our drinks were on their way. Dave, the owner, came to me and welcomed me and shocking asked who was with me.

"Dave this is Arynne, my mate, Arynne this is Dave, he's an old friend of my dads" I introduced the both of them and Dave's features light up with excitement upon finding out she was my mate. He congratulated me, and Arynne sent him a shy smile and a wave before hiding her face behind he menu. My mate was just too adorable. After 5 minutes of small talk he finally took our orders and left.

Before I could stop myself I spit out the words that have been bothering me all day, "Why did you reject me?"
