I walk into English class on the first day of Sophomore year. My eyes scan the open desks. I see an empty seat next to this girl but she looks kinda mean. I see an empty seat next to a guy and he looks a bit creepy and weird. Then, I spot an open seat next to what looks like an okay nice guy. So I take a seat and wait for the teachers introduction to the class.

"Hello, my name is Mrs. Navado. I will be going over the class rules today. Here is the syllabus. Please take your time tonight when you get home and go over it on your own again. We will be going over it all week and at the end of the week we will be having a small quiz on this material." she says to the class.

She walks along the desks handing the first kid at each desk 6 papers to pass down. the boy next to me has his head down and doesn't notice the papers have been passed to him. I wait patiently for a minute hoping he will notice but he doesn't. I light tap his arm and he lifts his head and looks to me shy like.  I look in his eyes and then down at the two thick packets of paper on the table and he instantly knows what I was going to say. He reaches for the papers and hands me mine and places his in front of him.

"Thank you." I say and shoot him a smile.

He doesn't reply he only smiles at me and then sets his head back down in his arms. I was thinking that maybe he was just shy so I left it be.

" So, open your syllabus to page 3. Who can read rule number one?" Mrs. Navado says and observes around waiting for someone to raise a hand and nobody does. Just as she is about to read it herself I shoot my hand up in the air.

"Yes you, what is your name?" she says just barely catching my hand going up before she looks down at her paper.

"Um, my name is Kaylee." I say shyly.

"Right go ahead." She says and smiles at me.

The boy next to me turns his head and looks at me and I can feel not only his but everyone's eyes burning into me.

"Rule n-number 1. Students voices m-must stay at a low murmur if instructed. If n-no instructions are given then the c-class must remain silent." I read off of page 3 slightly stuttering and then looking up to meet the boys blue eyes looking at me.

He turns his head back down and returns to what I'm guessing he was doing, sleeping. The class is quiet for a moment. Then, Mrs. Navado thanks me and then calls on another student to read rule number 2. I slouch down in my seat a little and watch for the boy next to me to lift his head and look at the next reader as well but he doesn't. 4 readers later and his head was still down in his arms not caring about a word being spoken. I wonder why he looked at me as I read but not anyone else...

After what feels like forever the bell rings and the boy next to shoots up startled from the bell and rubs his eyes and adjusts his glasses. black and green glasses, how unique. He stands up and puts his camouflage hat on his head not forwards but backwards. So I stay seated and watch him out of curiosity. As he walks off I observe what he is wearing. He has a white t-shirt on with what looks like some sponsors on it. Some wranglers and some cowboy boots.

Hmm. He looks good but hes not really my type. I don't really date cowboys after what had happened with Davis.

          *Flash back*

Davis and I walk up to the ticket booth at the movie theater. Aw he took me to a movie that's sweet of him. He hands me my ticket and I read it.

"Moana!" I say excitedly.

He smiles at me knowing I've been wanting to see this movie for some time now. I always talked about it to him over text. This was our first time hanging out or even meeting each other so we were a little shy as first. That didn't stop Davis. We got through a quarter of the movie and our hands were already interlocked. It wasn't bad at all I kind of liked it. But, Not much longer later we were laughing about something and happened to lock eyes and soon we found ourselves kissing. I didn't mind that either much. But, soon he came back again with another and then another and another. I started to get tired and a little weirded out by it but I shrugged it off.
