Aggie POV

"Dad!" I squeal as I walk into my house. Sascha follows closely behind with our bags.

He can't help but smile and also looks like he is about to shed a tear. "Aggie girl! I've missed you more than you'll ever know. Sascha, good to see you again. I took a week off work so I can make it the best week ever with you." He smiles at the two of us.

"You didn't have to do that dad. But I'll never say no to spending time with you" I smile.

He gives us some time and let's us go to my room to unpack our bags. Sascha stands in my doorway amused. "So this is your bedroom... much different than I pictured"

I give him a side glare with a cute giggle. "It's been like this since I was 12. I never bothered to change it. I was about to last winter but then I got the job with ATP. Not to mention I think my dad likes to be reminded of my little girl ways while I'm away." I look at the picture of my dad and I on my dresser as a smile approaches.

"At least I like you enough to deal with it" he takes a crack.

I can't help but laugh. Very rarely is there a serious moment when you are with Sasch. You have to be able to understand his humor and not take his sarcasm seriously. To some he would look like the biggest most selfish asshole but he is the most humble being I've ever met.

He wouldn't hurt a fly unless it happens to be on a tennis court when he throws his racket. All by accident of course.

Once I have all my clothing unpacked into their original places I help Sascha unpack. We are staying here for a three days before going back to Monte Carlo. Sascha really needs the practice. We just decided to stop and see my dad for a little.

I wish I could see him more than I do. He was always one of my best friends. I was always very close with my dad. He gave up golfing and fishing and hanging out with his friends after my mom and sister left. He didn't want me to feel lonely or like he wasn't coming back.

Mom ruined both of our minds. Thinking everyone would leave us at some point. Like it was destiny.

"Ya know what would have helped? If you didn't just sit on my bed while I was unpacking. You should have been unpacking your shit so I can go see my dad" I say nonchalant.

"We both know I would have dumbed it somewhere and just not cared. This way it stays clean."

My boys not wrong on this one. He is one messy dude.

"Dinners ready if you're hungry" dad calls from the bottom of the stairs.

Sascha and I both walk downstairs and into the kitchen. I instantly smile when I see my favorite. Dads homemade chicken and broccoli Alfredo.

We all dig in and dad asks all the questions about the rest of the season since we last saw him and our time in Maldives.

He has this moment of fulfillment when I explain how great everything was. We both never thought I would be doing this with my life. It's like he finally understands that I'll be okay in life.

"I don't know if you want to hang out with my dad or me tomorrow but I've made plans to see Maddie before we leave." I tell Sasch.

"Yeah I'll stay here. Lovely girl but she can talk your ear off about boys more than I care for"

"You're not wrong. It will only be a few hours" I inform.

The rest of the night I help dad do dishes and we all gather around in the living room to watch basketball.
