Authors note:
Wow this is really short, but it was based off of spmething else that I had written before.
Demyx does not belong to me and neither do you! =^.^=
-----------------------------------------
You turned a corner harshly, another lot of Shadows dispersing as they came into contact with a (KH weapon). You frowned in the withering darkness and this rain really wasn't helping either. You turned into an opening, reaching Memory's Skyscraper and looking to see a black mass at the bottom of the tower. It was a pile of Shadows and Neoshadows, all scuttling and dancing as they pile onto one another. You made a step forward, gripping tighter to your (KH weapon) before a weak turret of water errupted from the middle of the pile, scattering the Heartless and turning them each into a black mist. You gasped with shock at what you saw emerge from the pile and choked back tears as you watched a kneeling Demyx sway back and forth slightly, his coat slightly torn, his face battered and covered in bruises and cuts before you ran to him, luckily catching the Nocturne as he fell backwards into your arms. His breathing was shallow and a weak smile curved his lips as he saw you. You looked next to him to see the Appregio Sitar of his, battered with strings broken and the edges splintered.
"Hey." he rasped. A smile enlightened your lips as you looked down at him, tears threatening to form in your eyes. "How's... It going?" he coughed harshly, frowning the best he could, as he took a deep breath. "So this is it huh?"
"Demyx..." You said lightly, placing a hand on his cheek gently.
"It was a good... Run." the Nocturne swallowed, although his throat was dry and it hurt like crazy. "I always wondered... What it'd be like... To die. Again." You couldn't help but stiffle a gentle laugh as finally your eyes glazed over with tears, blurring your vision wildly.
"Don't talk like that, idiot." you said shakily, which caught Demyx's attention.
"Hey, don't... Worry 'bout me, (Y-N)" he coughed again, this time more roughly as he sighed weakly. You looked at him as he continued to breath weakly and smiled as he lifted his arm to put a hand on your cheek. You took his hand in yours as he began rubbing his thumb along your cheek affectionately. You stayed there for a few minutes before Demyx began dropping his arm, and his eyes began flickering, the smile still on his face. You shook her head as his grip faded and his eyes closed slowly, before a single tear fell from his eye, rolling down his face. You looked horrified at him as he stopped breathing and the tears ruptured from your eyes as he began to turn to smoke and bubbles.
"No..." you whispered as you watched his Sitar bubble from existance and the smiling face fade into nothing. "No!" you called as you were left, alone to sit in the pouring rain as the Nocturne finally faded from existance. "Demyx!" you cried, the tears pouring from your eyes as you looked round the space around you and stood, Heartless beginning to appear from the shadows. You frowned, lifting up your hood and your (KH weapon) appearing in your hands, sprinting towards the small hordes in order to kill each and every last Heartless you saw. Lashing out with your weapon, the small Shadows dispersed into thin air as soon as they came into contact with you, some of them even cowering away, into the shadows of the buildings surrounding you. You were taking none of it from them anymore, they'd put you in a foul mood. Not only had they been annoying anyway, but they'd been the reason for the person you felt for, losing their life. The mullet headed smile appeared in your head and you squeezed shut your eyes as you ran deeper into the desolate city. He was gone, and never was he to come back. That was the final goodbye...
