Chapter 4: Finding Myself (Jenny)

I sigh as Reo is driving to a pizza place in Colorado. I was so hungry and tired for some reason, I guess it's from waking up so early. 

I smiled as I looked at the Colorado scenery though. It just makes me happy that this kind of beauty exists. I wish that was what I felt like about myself. I'm so self-hateful, because of my low self-esteem.  I could smell the air, smelling like weed when we were near the thrift stores. I played some music and put my earbuds in my ears, turning it down so I wouldn't disturb Reo.  

I just hope Alice doesn't do anything reckless or stupid to try and get me this time... I just want to be alone with Reo for once, without Alice trying to follow me. The school wasn't her place and Colorado isn't either, because I'm here. 

I texted her. "Where are you?"

Alice: "None ya."

Me: "Tell me, Alice, please, pretty please. *puppy eyes*"

Alice: "nope."

Me: "Tell ME PLEASE"

Alice: *shakes her head.*

I frowned as Reo tapped my shoulder. 

"Hey, we're here." Reo smiled slightly.

My eyes brighten and I smiled. "thanks for telling me." 

Reo walked to the other side of the car and pulled the door lightly, opening it.

I looked up at him and took my earbuds out and the music disappeared. I looked around, no noise to comfort my lonely. Then I looked back at him and smiled, walking into the building with him.  Our feet were in rhythm, left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot. I held his hand for safety at this point, I need to be protected from Alice. She's crazy. 

Reo looked over at me "So, what did she say?"

"Hm? How did you know we were chatting?" my eyes widened.

"Don't be dramatic, I know how you are with her. How your mood changes with her." Reo grinned

I rolled my eyes and opened the door for him, smirking. "Ladies first."

Reo chuckles lightly and walks in. "I guess I'm a lady now."

I nod and walk in, behind him. "I love pizza so much!"

Reo nods "I know, that's why I brought you here."

I follow Reo to a table and wait for the waiter. 

We waited for a waiter for about 4 or 5 minutes, before she finally came. "what would you like?"

I answered: "Cheese Pizza and some Dr. Pepper if you don't mind."

Reo answered: "I'd like the same thing."

The waiter nodded.

"So, she didn't tell me her location." I frowned, looking down at the table.

"Hm.? It's alright. We'll find out soon enough." He smiled and lifted my chin up.

I smile gently and kiss his cheek. "You're so sweet!"

He blushed a light red and grinned "I know."

I giggled and we sat in silence after that. 

The waiter came back with our meals and we started eating the instance she put it onto the table. "it might be hot." she warned

We both ignored her and continued eating.

Soon enough, we left and drove to a new hotel. It was near Pikes Peak. We put our suitcases in the hotel room and left the room. We were going to the Garden of the Gods, before sundown.
