Nico POV;

"I wonder if he will ever love me." I wonder to myself as I watch him pratice sword fighting. 'He', being Percy Jackson of course, is the only person who can captivate the dark spots in my heart and make me feel light.

"Hey, Nico. Watch this!" he calls out to me as his sword slices the head off a dummy, causing staw to fly. "Nice! Where'd you learn that impressive trick?" I roll my eyes as he makes his way to the smooth wooden bench where I had been sitting for the past hour while Percy trainned.

"You didn't like it?" he pouts, after he flopped down, hardly making the sturdy bench move. "How do you plan to get strong if you can't take a little sarcasm?" I ask and nudged against his solid arm with my seemingly flimsy arm. I compare my pale skin to his golden tan. When I realise I was staring, I quickly return my gaze to Percy. I jerk my arm away upon seeing the uncomfortable confusion in his beautiful green eyes.

"How could I be so stupid?" I mentally scolded myself. "We should probably get ready for lunch," I say, looking down, as I kicked the fake wood floor of the expansive gym. "Yeah, we should." Percy got up and hurried to the locker room, not checking to see if I was following. After a deep breath, I get up and follow him through the door.

After we were done showering, we made our way up to the dining pavillon. We parted ways as we went to sit at our respective tables, on either side of the pavillon. I wanted so badly to sit with him, to talk and eat together. I was hoping maybe, just maybe that Dionysus or Chiron would let me sit with him, since I was sitting alone. Hazel was at Camp Jupiter. Having no such luck, I asked Dionysus first. I wasn't really expecting a yes from him, because he hates all of us. I was upset when Chiron said no, though, because he was usually the nice one. He said that Hazel might come back, and then I could sit with her.

I head out to the woods, because earlier today Percy set a letter on my bed. He invited me to have a mini campfire with him and some other people. I'm not sure who was all coming. Percy wouldn't tell me when I asked.

When I arrive at the spot where the campfire is flickering away, I looked around, but see no one. "Percy!" I called out, but my voice faded into the darkness. "He must be late," I say aloud. "He's not late!" I hear suddenly, as a freezing wave of water crashed down on me, soaking me from head to toe.

"AHHHH!" I scream, as the cold water saturated my clothes. "WHAT KIND OF JOKE IS THIS!" "A funny one!" I heard from behind a large tree. I rushed over there, extremely angry, and saw Connor and Travis Stoll rolling on the ground laughing. "What's your guys' problem?!" I demanded.

"Hey, don't blame us," Travis challenged. "Yeah, it was Percy's idea!" Connor added.

"This was Percy's idea?" I chocked out, my voice laced with hurt.

"Yeah," Connor and Travis said at the same time.

"Why would Percy do that?" I wondered to my self, as Travis and Connor stood there and whispered to one another.

It's been five days since Percy pulled that prank on me. I haven't talked to him since. I don't know if I believe the Stolls, though, but it's the only lead I have on why they did what they did. The Stolls are known for their pranks, but they never prank without a motive.

Knock, knock, knock. I got up from my comfy spot on my bed to answer the door. Percy is standing in the doorway.

"What do you want?" I asked him, coldly.

"I want to know why you've been avoiding me," Percy demanded.

I haven't been," I said, denying that I obviously have been. "Why would you think that?"

"Because you have been, and you shouldn't really lie. You aren't very skilled at it," Percy retorted. "Also, I wanted to invite you to play truth and dare with Annabeth."

"I'll check my schedule," I responded, and turned away from him.

"See you later, I guess." Percy said, as he turned and walked out of my cabin.
