Alexa POV
I was sitting in my room staring at the ceiling.

Thinking.

What did I do to deserve all of this? Am I really that bad of a person? Should I just leave forever? Wh- my thoughts were interrupted when my best friend, Ethan. Ethan Dolan walked in .

"Hey! We should go somewhere  " He stated with a huge smile.

I wasn't in the mood to answer back so I just stayed in silence.
I've been different lately. I didn't eat, socialize, get out the house or dress decent lately .

I don't know why.

I soon gave in and started talking
" E, I'm sorry but I'm not in the mood right now. " my voice was raspy like I've been crying.

Ethan's smile faded.

"Lex, please tell me what's wrong. You haven't been doing anything with me for half of the summer. You haven't come to my house since January. It's September!"
He was right. I felt bad because i've been blowing him off but it's not because of him it's because someone else.

" And Grayson misses you a lot." He added

When Ethan said Grayson's name. I froze . Ever since that night Ethan left me to get food i've been acting how I am now . Sad and worthless.

Grayson caused me to be like this . Grayson and I have this type of relationship where he hates me and I hate him . I don't know why though , We barely know each other although Me and his brother are best friends . Grayson and I rarely know each other  we never had a conversation about ourselves . Or hardly any civil conversations .
Grayson bullies me . Whenever Ethan isn't around , I want to tell Ethan but who knows what would Grayson do to me than .  Maybe i'll end up like last time ...
FLASHBACK
" Hey, I'm leaving to go get pizza I'll be right back!" Ethan yelled up the long stairway in his house.

"Okay!" I yelled back before hearing the door shut.

Normally I would be begging Ethan to take me with him but today was different. Grayson wasn't home.

I sighed a release of stress. My heart was doing backflips.

Grayson isn't here!

My Little mental party was over because I heard the front door shut. I pushed myself out of the position I was in and walked down the long stairs.

"Ethan? You're back alrea-." I froze.
Oh no.

" I'm not Ethan. Baby girl. I'm even better ." He sent a devilish smirk.

What do I do?

Run.

I quickly ran up the stairs as fast as I could. Running track did help for something. Just when I started to think about where to hide at Grayson loud footsteps, more like leaps were heard coming up the stares.

I panicked, and once again I froze.

Grayson yanked me away from where I'm standing and threw me down the stairs. It hurt so bad

"Next time don't try to run." Grayson scoffed

Later that night when Ethan came back. I told him that I fell down the stairs because I was running down them with my fuzzy monster covered socks.

He believed me. but I didn't want him to.

END OF FLASHBACK

A tear trickled down my face at the thought of what would happen if i told Ethan what Grayson has been doing to me behind his back.
I suffered because of Grayson.I had to wear a leg cast on my right leg and had to wear a cast on my left Arm for 5 months. It was a pain.

Ethan noticed the tear that had fallen and wiped it with the pad of his thumb. He's too sweet.

"Hey, hey why are you crying?" he questioned while pulling me into him so he could give me a hug.

I ignored his question.

"you give the best hugs, E." I looked up at him.

"I know ." he smiled cheesily

"confident much " I laughed softly

"yup" He replied popping the 'p'

We Laid there silently until we fell asleep. My parents weren't home but even if they were they wouldn't mind because Ethan and I are best friends nothing more, nothing less.
