After his first class, Changbin made his way to the restroom. He realized he would be late for his
second class but at the moment, he didn’t mind.
He definitely noticed Felix in his first class. The fact that he didn’t immediately go sit next to
Jisung was completely strange. Not only that, but the blonde settled with sitting with the
annoying group of girls in the corner. He wondered why Felix put himself through that when
there was a perfectly nice seat beside Changbin.
Changbin knew Felix would jump head first into annoying him so he figured Felix probably just
didn’t notice the empty seat beside him. Despite acting like he hates it, Changbin actually
wanted to hear Felix bothering him, which made him anticipate his second class.
Yesterday, Felix sat beside Changbin in this class, which started their friendship, per se. As he
entered the classroom, he found that there was an open seat beside the Australian. Without a
second thought, Changbin made his way towards it.
“Seems being late is becoming a habit,” Changbin teased as he pulled out his notebook, only to
receive no response at all. Where was the snarky comment? The defense? The insult?
Instead, Felix just expertly ignored him, looking down at his phone. Changbin wondered what
was so interesting on the phone and decided to take a peak. He was looking at a text message,
but locked the phone before Changbin could read it.
Changbin finally started taking in Felix’s appearance. Sure, he was messily put together,
probably because he overslept, but that wasn’t all, Felix seemed upset. It probably had to do
with the fact that he didn’t sit beside Jisung in the morning. Felix looked up from his phone,
noticing Changbin’s stare.
When their eyes met, Changbin felt his heart break in two. He could see all the emotions that
Felix tried holding back through his two lenses. He didn’t just seem upset, he looked like he was
actually about to break down into tears. His eyes were swollen and his bottom lip was slightly
quivering. That entire look was wiped away from Felix’s face in a split second, being replaced
with a bored look. But he can’t fool Changbin.
If anyone else looked over at Felix, they would just say he looked like an annoyed, sleep
deprived boy. If Changbin hadn’t been staring at Felix enough to catch his eyes before putting
up that front, Changbin would’ve probably thought the same. But now, he was determined to
know what was going on.
“Hey, are you alright?” Changbin asked softly, worried that if he spoke too harshly, Felix would
just break. The blonde simply looked away and started taking notes on their lesson. Changbin
furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, “Felix, you can tell me. I won’t curse at you.”
He heard Felix sigh before turning to face him again, “Just don’t talk to me, okay?”
If the swift expression on Felix’s face broke his heart, then the tone of his voice completely
shattered it into pieces. Changbin could completely tell from that tone, that Felix is hurting a lot
right now.
Changbin figured that perhaps he shouldn’t get involved. He’s not that close to Felix yet, so he
shouldn’t expect the blonde to pour his heart out to him. However, Changbin felt a strange
motivation to get Felix to tell him what’s wrong.
He wanted to know who made Felix this upset, and wanted to have a little talk with them.
Little did Changbin know, he was half the problem.
