Chapter 1

12 years earlier

I hear the door open, I wonder if its mum coming to kiss me goodnight, she forgot because mummy and daddy were arguing again.

"Aria, come on lets go." A man whispered, I look around to get a good look at him but he was too far in the shadow.

"ho ware wou?" I whispered back

"Im here to take you to a special place, your daddy will mean us there" He whispered, with that I felt something inside me that says I shouldn't go but since daddy said so... "You wouldn't want to disappoint him would you?"

"No..w...Bbut..." I said, I played with my cotton pink blanket that grandma made me before she went to heaven to become an angel.

"Come let's go" he said angrily and dragged me by my arm really hard that made me cry.

Today

Her mouth is moving, shit she's talking to me, what does she want now? I pulled my earphones out and replied "Sorry, what?" I answer, I looked down at my teacher her long stripped skirt slow up towards her woolly jumper, her hair was light grey and she definitely looked the part as a teacher.

"Will you move your bag so Mr Drakes can sit next to you?" I look to the empty spot where my bag was, great I sighed, no more my space, i moved my bag and then stuck my earphones back in. She didn't bother telling me to take them out because she clearly got over after 5 months of trying and it never getting her anywhere. Suddenly realise she was yet again talking to me, i looked up and yelled over my earphones

"What?" I snapped, her lips started moving but i couldn't hear anything so i removed my earphones yet again and said "Sorry can you repeat that please, i didn't hear you?" I heard a chuckle

I turned to the sound of the chuckle and I wished I didn't because I could not look away, his short cut brown hair, beautiful icy blue eyes, his strong jaw line-

"Miss Gravit? Are you finally going to take out your earphones yet" I looked at her and put my earphones back in and finished listening to the end of Evanescence-Immortal and returning to my doodling in the margin. i felt someone tap my should and looked up to find Mr Drakes still standing there and saw him smiling oh my god he has a dimple, I cough removing my left headphone.

"Are you going to sit down Mr Drakes?" i ask sarcastically, returning my headphone into my ear. i turn back to my doodles and Coldplay- Fix You started playing. i felt another tap on my shoulder, i looked up at Mr Drakes again and pulled out my earphones.

"Hey" he said to me, oh god what do I do 'you reply to him da'

"Yes?" I ask confused

"I'm Tyli" holding out his hand, I looked at his hand and said.

"Rylie." He grim and pulled his hand back

"Okay I get it, hard to get" smart ass doesn't know what he's talking about "Where are you from?"

"Nowhere and everywhere, you?"

"That simple huh...London"

"Why are you in California then?" I asked,

"My mum got a divorce and decided it's time to move and start a new life." I frowned

"That sucks" i replied i know don't know how that feels because i don't have parents.

The rest of the lesson was a blur, i kept my head down 'do not look at him Rylie!' The bell finally rang as Tyli turned to me and pulled out my earphone.

"Walk me to me next class?" he said, I looked at him stun.

"What am I your bitch?" He head fell back in a laughing fit.

"You are something, no-"

"Ill walk you" Jenny pops out of no where, she's like a barnacle stuck to the side of the boat when it comes to hot guys. Tyli looks at me and winks with his adorable smirk.

"That'll be great, thank you. Bye Rylie." he gets up and leaves with Jenny without a look back. Shit! Why couldn't I have said yes.
