"I'm sorry, Kain. I just can't date you while you're on tour. It's not fair. For me or you."
"C'mon, Lucy. It wont be that bad. Just give it a chance."
"Remember when you asked me out." He nodded "You told me that your gut told you that something good would come of it. That it would make you happy. You listened to your gut, Kay. Now I'm listening to mine. I'm sorry."
"Yeah, it probably wouldn't have worked, anyways."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I mean if its your gut feeling then I couldn't have changed your mind. Plus, It was gonna happen anyways. If you didn't do it then I would have. Bye, Lucy." He smiled a weak smile, walking out of the door.
That, ladies and Gentlemen, was my Oh-So-Typical breakup scene. So I'm guessing now is probably a good time to introduce myself. I'm Lucy. Lucy Oliver. My friends call me Lulu, Luce, Lucifer, and Lu. I'm 5'2, I have long blonde hair and bright green eyes. I'm seventeen and I live in Los Angeles, California. I grew up here with my four best friends; Demi and Jack Gilinsky, Jack Johnson, and Sam Wilkinson. And as for that unlucky fella that just got dumped, that's Kain Duran. We dated for two years and seven months. Now he's going on tour and leaving me behind. I didn't really want a long distance relationship and by the looks of it, neither did he. I don't really mind though because we weren't actually in love. Just caught up in the moment, I guess.

After the break-up I went home and called Demi. She suggested that we have a beach day. Just the two of us.
"Lucy? Are you ready?" Demi asked, lightly knocking on my door.
"Yeah, Dem. Just let me get my bag and we can go." I smiled, grabbing my beach bag. "Okay! I'm ready."
We left my apartment and were on our way to paradise. It took us about thirty minutes to get there. I was glad that Demi and I were finally spending some alone time together. Just us girls. Usually, Demi would be with Johnson and I would be with Kian or JG. But since JJ, JG, and Sam are out of town for the weekend we had each other. And it felt great to have my best friend to myself for awhile.
"Hey, L? Can you please put some suntan lotion on my back? I can't reach."
"Of course." I laughed, rubbing it in.
"Would you look at that? Johnson you owe me fifty bucks." Someone laughed, pulling my attention to him.
"Sam! What are you doing back! You guys were supposed to come back on Saturday."
"Lu, it is Saturday." He laughed again "So is this what it looks like?" He smirked
"It looks like Lucy and Kain broke up and we came to the beach for therapy and I couldn't reach my back so I asked her to rub it in." Demi interjected
"You and Kain broke up? Why?" They all asked
"Wasn't workin'" I shrugged and pulled my sunglasses back down, covering my eyes. Truth be told, I was pretty upset about the breakup. I mean that was almost three years of my life I spent with someone I wasn't in love with. I love Kian. I really do. But I'm not in love with him. And it hurts a little.
"I think I know what'll make it better." Johnson sang. "Party at Lucy's place." He yelled and everyone cheered.
"Fine. But I just redecorated. Don't ruin my stuff."
*****
"Wow, Luce. This place looks great." Gilinsky said opening my front door.
"Thanks. It took all of my allowance money." I sighed
"Speaking of. How are they? Your parents, I mean?"
"How do you think they are? They've been gone for almost three years exploring the world. How would you be?"
"I'm sorry, Lucy." Jack sighed, pulling me into a warm hug.
"What can ya do, y'know?" As much as I say I don't miss them, its a lie. They left When I was 14 to travel the world. Every week they send me five thousand dollars for bills, car payment, and groceries. They think it makes up for them leaving but it really doesn't.
"Where's your head, Lucy?" He asked
"All over the place." I admitted
"It'll get better. It always does."
