CHAPTER 16
Ivy's POV:
Ivy's Saturday's usually consisted of her sitting in her bedroom finishing assignments, studying, watching the episodes she missed from the shows she watched, reading or following Tina around the shops on her frequent shopping sprees. An unlikely yet completely welcome twist in her life named Harry styles had her agreeing to go to an unknown destination with a person she had met twice very briefly. Tina had arrived at her house exactly fifteen minutes after Ivy had texted Tina the situation she was currently in. Ivy had never woken before the tenth hour on a Saturday, except today; she had been awake and texting Tina at 8am.
Now she sat cross legged on her unmade bed with Tina sitting across from her, freaking about what she had done. "How could I have said yes?! What if paparazzi take like photos and print them on the front page of every magazine?! My parents are going to kill me! And what do I tell them I'm doing? I'm sure they won't agree with what I'm about to do!" she complained for the third time possibly.
"Ivy calm down! Everything is going to be fine, and I thought you at least had a little knowledge about what teenagers do when they want to do something their parents won't let them do from all those shows you watch," Tina shook Ivy by her shoulders, "we'll tell them that we're going shopping and a movie after we study a little at my place. But really you'll be of FINALLY LIVING YOUR LIFE; and who'd ever think it was with Harry Styles for crying out loud?!"
Throughout their friendship Ivy had seen Tina stumble into problems because her actions were based on spur of the moment thoughts. Though Tina being the confident person she was was rarely fazed by most embarrassing situations. Ivy could not remember the last time she did not think extensively before she did something. "And what about the paparazzi?" Ivy asked not possessing Tina's enthusiasm.
"I was wondering about those too, he hasn't been caught weirdly enough by anyone yet at any of the places he's been. Then again he's only been to the BC joint and that new club and I don't think many paps hang around those places. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to get caught anyway because how he's acting with you is seriously not the usual Harry, I should know," she reassured Ivy, "I guess if he covers up or doesn't want people finding him then no one notices." Ivy hoped Tina was right. Flashing cameras and crowded places filled with staring eyes all directed at her and the person she was with was not the ideal situation she wanted to find herself in.
She sighed, "I seriously hope that's true." She looked at herself still in her pajamas and her hair was as wild as ever. "What am I going to wear?" she asked Tina getting of the bed and walking over to her white closet that stood near her bedside table. It was small compared to Tina's but she never had any use for a larger one. It contained a mirror on the outside of one of the sides and her drab clothes were piled inside. Even Ivy knew the clothes she wore were far from flattering but they made her comfortable, covering her up and helping her disappear.
"That's it? You aren't worried about embarrassing yourself in front of Harry or where he'll take you or that this will be your first time ever going out alone with a guy or rephrase, it'll be your first time going out ever?" Tina said in disbelief when Ivy turned back to her after opening her closet.
"It's not the first time I go out ever, it's the second," Ivy stated matter-of-factly, "and I'm worried about what we're doing but I don't think I should be, it's out of my hands." Tina gawked at her in disbelief.
"So you're not going to talk yourself out of going like you always do?"
"I kind of want to go. I don't know, I've never felt like this before," she replied sheepishly playing with her fingers. Few had wanted to continue a conversation with her since Tina; and on those rare occasions she had felt that it would be the safest if she neglected them and closed herself off. This time she would not let her fear of judgment stop her from going after what she really wanted.
