Chapter (1)

DING
I groaned then put a pillow on my head. “Wake up sleepy head.” My mom said with her motherly voice. I groaned, again.
“Do you know what day this is?” She asked.
“No, and I don’t wanna know” I said.
“Well, today is the talent show!” She said, really excited.
Yeah, today we have a Talent Show at my school and I’m gonna sing there. I really don’t wanna go! I have stage fright and I’m incredibly shy.
“Mom. The Talent Show is at 8 PM,” I said “And it’s 11 AM right now.”
“Did you forget that you still haven't bought your dress?” She asked.
“UGHHH” I groaned.
I knew I had no choice so I got out of bed, took a shower and went to eat breakfast. My favorite, bacon and scrambled eggs!
“Yay! Bacon!” I said like a little kid.
When I was done, I remembered that I have to go dress-shopping with Sophia, my best friend.
“Hey mom, I need some money to go shopping today.” I said.
“Sure, how much do you want?” She asked
“I think five hundred is enough.” I said.
“OK” She said.
“Good morning.” Said a familiar voice from behind me.
“Hi.” I said to my older sister, Luna.
“Today is The Talent Show right?” She asked.
“Yeah..” I said.
“Crap!” She said.
“What’s wrong?” I asked, pretending that I actually cared.
“I didn’t buy a new outfit!” She said as if the world is about to end just because she didn’t buy a freaking new outfit. That, my friend, is my sister.
I rolled my eyes and went to wash my hands. After that, I got out my phone and texted Sophia.
I have to go shopping today for my dress. Wanna come? I typed.
Sure. Meet me at the mall at 3 PM? She replied after a really short time.
Yeah. I’ll be in front of Zara. I typed then put my phone on the nightstand to charge it. I really need a phone with 500% battery.
I sat on the couch of my room and turned on the TV. Victorious was on. I watched in silence when I heard a knock on my door. I went to see who. It was… Sophia?
“Hey. How did you get in here?” I asked.
“You’re mom opened the door for me.” She said while she entered my room, looking at her phone.
That is my best friend, she just arrives randomly at my room.
“Oh my god!” She squealed, still not looking up.
“What?” I asked.
“There will be a sequel for Rise and Rain!” She squealed even louder.
“OH MY GOD!” I screamed. Rise and Rain is our favorite movie. It's actually a musical movie. The director made it clear that there won’t be a sequel to it. I guess people change.
We started dancing around the room like little girls when we heard a knock on the door. I opened and saw that it was mom with a 500 dollar bill.
“Thank you.” I said while putting it on the nightstand, where my phone was.
“Are we still up for shopping?” She asked.
“Yeah, we can go now.” I told my redheaded friend.
I looked at the clock and it still was 1.
I grabbed my phone and money and put them in my purse.
“Where are you two going?” My bratty sister asked.
“The mall. Why do you care?” I said while rolling my eyes.
“I wanna go shopping myself so I will come with you.” She said.
“Who said that we want you to come with us?” I asked. I was really annoyed.
“It’s okay.” Said Sophia.
“Great!” She said.
“What are you doing?” I whispered to Sophia.
“We need a ride!” She said with a loud whisper.
I rolled my eyes then got out of the house.

When we were in the car, I noticed that we weren’t going in the right direction. Just great! We’re lost.
“The mall isn’t this way.” I said.
“Oh I know.” Said Luna with an evil grin “I’m going to pick up Tina, Madison and Maggie.”
Sophia and I froze for a moment. Tina, Madison and Maggie are the popular girls at our school. Aka (also known as) meanest girls at our school. They are Luna’s best friends, I know. She hangs out with them every day, I know. But not today when she’s with us.
“WHAT?!” I screamed.
She rolled her eyes and said “I. Will. Pick. Up. Tina. Madison. And. Maggie.”
“NO!” I screamed, again “Please don’t!”
“Too late.” She said as she stopped the car in front of a mansion. There, came out 3 girls coming our way with really short shorts. And when I say short, I mean short. They were also wearing tight crop tops. They looked slutty as always.
“This is gonna be fun!” Said Luna.
Hey guys! This is my first book and I know that it won’t be PERFECT. Um, yeah. So I wanna introduce myself first. I’m Malak. I’m still NOT a teenager so my books won’t be very teenager-y. If you know what I mean ;). I really love reading. Some people keep calling me a nerd because I’m like, addicted to reading. But once you get to know me you’ll see that I’m a really awesome person.
Thank you so much for reading!
