As I walk into school, I get butterflies. It seems so big! There are so many people. Some of them bump into me and just walk away, well that was rude. The bell rings and suddenly I'm all alone in the hallway. A teach comes out of her room. "excuse me," I ask "where is room 32d?" she replied "well that's my room! Welcome to my class! You must be Halle. Come on in!" she pointed me to the place I should sit, next to Blaine. He had round glasses and short brown hair.
"hi" he whispered
"hello" I replied.
"you must be Halle" he said back
"yeah" I answered
"you two, stop talking" said the teacher
The teachers name is mrs. Lambert. She teaches Language Arts. She started off the class by telling us a bit about her. She lives in the next town over, she is married. She has 3 kids our age. That's pretty much all she told us. That's all I heard at least, I zoned out and stared out the window. Before I knew it, first period was over.
Blaine led me around school. He showed me all the classes, and he even showed me where the field was. I doubt I would need to know that. So he just showed me around. Because we were in 8th grade, we have more classes and a bigger building. Going from homeschool to actuall school isn't the easiest thing ever. Many people would agree with me.
With all that happened the past day, I had no idea how hard it was really going to be. It seemed quite easy, I already made a friend! It was going great, then again, it was only the first day of school. Wonder what the rest will be like
Chapter 2.
"hey" I whispered to Blaine again
He didn't answer back. He was lookin straight at the teacher. I don't know why. Was he ignoring me for some reason? Oh well. I talked to him after class. It turns out, he had a pretty tough morning, some of the kids were teasing him and telling him he was a fat turd and stuff. I could tell he was on the verge of crying, he didn't though. I bet right then, I would beat them up if I saw them, but he wouldnt tell me who. He didn't tell me why.
We went to the next few classes, Blaine was absent. He went home because he claimed he felt sick, I was the only one to know why he really went home. To get away from everything. The day didn't go as well as planned. One of the girls, Brittany, was beig really mean to the nerdiest kid in our grade, Georgia. She called her fat, and dumb, and ugly. I just walked away. That day I realized that middle school isn't what I thought it would be.
I did my homework when I got home. It was hard. I had my mom help me with the problems in math. It isn't my best subject. Around 2 weeks later, we got our progress reports, I wasn't doing that well in any of my classes. In math I got a D. My mom was disappointed. I didn't give up though. And so I kept trying and trying.
Chapter 3.
Fastforward another 3 weeks. In october. There were some nasty roomers about me spreading around.
"hey," one of the boys said "can you, um, tell me if this is good?" and he started picking his nose. He ran of giggling. I was so confused. During 5th period I figured out why. Brittany had spread a rumor that I picked my nose. NOT true. It wasn't true at all. Whatever she thought as funny wasn't funny, it was mean. It almost ruined my reputation
