"Wait, so he actually walked in on you?" Said Nancy, the curly redhead sitting across from me.
"Yeah! Just barged right in through the door without any warning! I mean, I was changing like c'mon!" answered Kayla.
"What a creep." said my best friend, Cierra.
I wasn't really into the conversation that was happening at my lunch table today. I was just hearing bits and pieces of it as I picked at my salad and thought about what was going to happen after today.
Today was my last day of junior year, and while everyone else in my school was excited for summer, I was not.
This year, rather than getting to lounge by my pool with all my friends or sneaking out to parties and meeting cute college boys or even looking at colleges, my mom was forcing me to go to Nebraska and stay with my aunt, uncle, and her kids.
I love my family dearly but I didn't want to miss out on everything that was happening in Pennsylvania.
My aunt Maurice is married to my uncle Jack, my mom's brother. They have an oldest daughter named Lisa and their youngest (who's still older than me by a year) is Jack.
The lunch bell finally rang and I quickly dumped my tray and grabbed my books, desperately hurrying off to get to my next class.

Once the final bell rang, I tugged my keys out of my bag and flew to my Jeep in the parking lot. I started the car and didn't even bother to turn on the radio, I wanted to get home as fast as I could.
I unlocked my door and ran to my bedroom. After I screamed into my pillow for five minutes, I changed into my bathing suit and headed for the pool.
I floated in the water and enjoyed all of two minutes until my brother came splashing into the water, soaking me and causing me to scream.
"Ugh." I started, "leave me alone, please! You're so annoying!"
Jacob rolled his eyes and proceeded to make fun of me. I trudged into the house and stomped upstairs.
"Marley!" Yelled my mother, "What's the matter this time?"
My mom never understood.
I entered my room and laid on my bed. Staring at the ceiling I began to think about everything I would be missing out on here in Pennsylvania.
Knowing that there was no way I could get out of this trip, I began to pack my bags and dreaded the hours to come.
