He knows?

      "Lix, how do you know about that?"

      "I'm not an idiot. I knew your head was chopped off, I was there. Now your back again."

      "How did you know it was me?"

      "I knew because I used to like you when we were kids. I had a huge crush on you, Ari. I still have feelings for you, but your with Parker in this life."

      "I don't think me and Parker are a thing anymore. I'm gonna go call him." I went outside of Lix's place and called Parker. He answered.

      "Raya, I'm sorry."

      "I only called to find out if we were still dating."

      "I don't know. I hope we are because I have a present for you. Where are you?"

      "I'm at Lix's house." Parker went silent. It's like he wasn't on the phone anymore. "Parker you there?"

      "Yea, meet me at Gas Casino."

      "On my way."I hung up the phone and yelled goodbye to Lix. I got in my car and started driving. I pulled into the back of Gas Casino. I found Parker by the entrance. He told me to turn around. I did as I was told and he said "pick up your hair". I followed his directions and felt a cold chain latch around my neck. 

      I released my hair and looked down. It was a W necklace. He got down on one knee. "Saraya Shade, will you marry me?"

      I stood there with a shocked look on my face. "Of course I will, Parker." I blurted out. "How come there's no ring?"

      "I know you hate rings because they get in the way when you're racing." I smiled up at him and jumped on him for a hug. His soft buttery lips grabbed mine and suddenly we were making out in front of the bar. 

      Parker and I drove home together. When we got there more writing was spread across his car. We didn't bother reading it and went to Parker's room. He grabbed me and put me on the bed. He laid on top of me and kiss my neck.

      I sent Parker to my room to grab some sweatpants and a hoodie. He left the room and went to mine. "Raya!"

        I ran to Parker in my room and saw that he was being held at gunpoint. The person was in all black and wearing a mask. "Parker?" I said crying.

     "Run. Get help." I ran to Parker's room not closing any doors so that the gunman won't find me. I grabbed my phone and dialed "911". I gave all the information to the woman on the phone. She yelled at me to climb out the window and go somewhere safe. I grabbed some of Parker's clothes so I would be warm outside. I kept the woman on the phone until I had gotten to Lix's place. 

      I banged on his door. I had tears streaming down my face. He opened the door shirtless and in his boxers. He had a girl on the couch waiting for him. She was in her undergarments. "Raya, what's wrong?"

      "Parker is being held at gunpoint in my room. I called the cops. They told me to go somewhere safe and I trust you." I said through tears. 

      He grabbed my arm and pulled me into his house. He motioned to the girl on the couch to get dressed. "Let me just put clothes back on. Then I'll be back down."

     He ran upstairs. I sat on the chair across from the girl. "I'm sorry for interrupting." I said to the girl. She gave me a smile.

      "Don't worry about it. I hear your fiance is being held at gunpoint? Where? I'm a cop."

      "1744 Sixth street, Ewing New Jersey."She jumped up and put on her police uniform and ran out of the house. 

      Lix came running back down the stairs. I sat there trying to calm myself down by scrolling through instagram. "You want a beer?"

      "Yea." He went to the kitchen and grabbed 2 beers. He came back and picked me  up and brought me to the couch. He sat my on his lap and cradled me in his arms. I felt safe there. Being with him was just like being with Parker. 

      "You wanna watch a movie?"I shook my head no. "You wanna talk about it? You said he's your fiance now?"

      "Yea." I cried grabbing at my necklace.

      "Where's the ring?"

      "I don't like rings. Parker knew that and got me a necklace with a W on it instead."

      "Oh. W for Williams. Alright Saraya Shade-Williams."He pulled me in for a hug. I pushed away and leaned my head onto his shoulder and cried.

      My phone rang. "Hello?"

      "You called earlier about your fiance?"

      "Yea. Any news on it?"

      "Yes. Your fiance is okay. We need to know where you are so we can bring him to you."

      "24 Springfield Avenue."

      "He will be arriving shortly. I'm glad I could help you." She hung up the phone. I jumped out of Lix's lap and rushed to the front patio. He followed. We sat there for a while waiting.

      A police car rounded the corner and stopped in front of Lix's place. An officer opened the back door and out came Parker. He ran towards me. 

      "You ok?"

      "Yea. You ran to Lix?"

      "Yea. I trust him with my life." I said smiling at him. He winked back at me. 

      "I'm glad we have such a good friend." We filed into Lix's place.

      "Y'all can stay here for a while, if you want."

       "Thanks. As long as you have beers I'm never leaving." We all laughed. 

P.S. i know this is a short chapter but I felt this would be a good place to end it.
