The street is dark, cold and uninviting, I pulled my thin cloak closer to my shivering body. It's unusually cold and creepy tonight since I'm walking home alone from the office. Lathuran, my boss, wouldn't stop running me around all day so I'm exhausted both mentally and physically.

Suddenly a girl jumps down from a rooftop above and lands in front of me. She is wearing a red cloak with black knee-high combat boots. The lining on the cloak is black with winding red tendrils. She takes off her good and I can see her face, it has white make-up covering it, she has ruby red lipstick and eyeshadow.

"Someone has been a very naughty girl," she whispers loud enough for me to hear, but just barely. "You've been so bad that someone wants you dead!" I stepped backwards in hope of getting away from this crazy woman, but as soon as I took a step I bumped into something behind me.

I spun around to see a girl almost identical to the first but instead of a red cloak, she has purple. The only difference I can see is their hair, the red one has shimmering blonde hair and the purple has glossy brown hair pulled back into a ponytail.

"W-who are you people?" I stutter hoping that they will leave me alone. The girl in purple leaps over me and lands next to the girl in red. "We are Gemini." The girl in red purrs, she sounds like she is enjoying this.

I have heard of Gemini before, they have been in the news a lot lately. Apparently they are a mercenary team that has been responsible for a lot of recent deaths here in Prathneon.

"What do you want with me?" I ask with a trembling voice, my knees feel like they are about to turn to butter.

This time the purple member spoke "Well you see Morgan, your most recent sweetheart put a pretty price on your head. I guess he didn't appreciate you cheating on him."

I instantly knew who they meant; Jace. He is one of the higher political figures, we went out for a few months before I got bored of him and started seeing other people. Unfortunately I was caught in the act, so this was the revenge he was talking about. But how did they know that I haven't dated since?

The girls began moving toward me slowly, just enjoying the terror and regret written all over my face.

I spun around and started running as fast as I could, trying desperately to lose them. But when I checked over my shoulder to see if they were chasing me, there was just a dark, empty street.

Still very scared I ducked into an alley, attempting to hide in the darkness. There was a creepy giggling noise from behind me and a voice spoke from the pitch black.

"You can't run, you can't hide. Really you're just making the hunt more fun for us."

Suddenly the two girls were on either side of me and closing in quickly. I looked back and fourth between them.

Out of nowhere the girl in red sprang towards me wielding an obstince knife. I felt a sharp, burning pain in my side where the blade entered. A warm feeling slowly crept around the wound as blood seeped through it and stained my clothes.

"Nothing personal," Someone whispered into my ear. "Just business."

Just as quickly as the pain had started, it stopped. But I couldn't see or feel, am I dead?
