It had been a week since Sang had gone into a coma, everyone was suffering because we all knew each day that passed gave her less of a chance of ever waking up. The hospital had been kind enough to make an exception to move her into the largest room they had so that we could all visit her at once.

We didn't bother with visiting hours, we stayed at her side whenever we could, making sure she was never alone. Watching helplessly as she lay unmoving in her plain hospital bed, hooked up to so many machines just to keep her alive, it was a sight that brought many sleepless nights to the others and even myself. The simply truth was none of us knew what to say or do, the bird we loved was slowly dying in front of our very eyes and we were powerless to stop it.

I rubbed gently circles into the back of Sang's limp hand, silently willing her to pull through this mess. My team and I had suffered another kind of loss because of our previous shared bird but this, this was by far the most painful thing any of us had ever experienced, watching someone you love so much like this. All fourteen of us were crowded into the room, all with dark circles under our eyes and I wondered when the last time everyone had something to eat was?

So many tears had been shed over Pookie in the last week that it was almost like we were growing numb to this situation, but nothing could fully take away the pain. I hadn't left the hospital once in the whole time since, I only left her room to eat, shower and use the bathroom. She hadn't gotten worse but she wasn't getting better from what anyone could tell, I for one refused to think she wouldn't pull through, the simple thought was poison to our group and none of us needed that.

I had begged, pleaded and even prayed for Sang Baby to wake up, but after a week the odds were not in her favor. I honestly didn't know how she was still alive considering she had been shot in the heart and died on the operating table twice only to be brought back and left in a comatose state until now. Everybody was taking it hard, some more than others though considering Gabe was stuck between blaming himself or dead guy Devin. I had to admit I wished I could bring the b***tard back to life just to beat him to death, over and over again.

I could see my brothers starting to give up some of their hope but I knew my little warrior bird was a fighter, she would fight her way back to us. I knew this but even I worried seeing her so pale and shrunken among the many machines. She had bravely stood to protect us, despite knowing the danger, I knew she had loved us but this was almost too much.
