I woke up this morning to hear my alarm clock buzzing. Shit! It was already 6:10, I had 10 minutes to get ready and get out to my bus stop. This was not the way i had planned my first day of my senior year to go. I quickly dressed into my clothes I, thankfully, set out last night. Then I ran downstairs and grabbed a breakfast sandwich my mom had left for me, I grabbed my overly stuffed backpack and ran to the end of my street. My two best friends were already at the bus stop waiting for me.

"Hey!" I called to them.

"Hey Liz!" Kourtney answered waving back. Kourtney is pretty, she had long orange hair that she straightened to death everyday, and she was short but she has the figure to pull if off. She is very sporty and she always carries her soccer bag with her to school. Try outs for the team would start tomorrow and she would easily make it. That is, if they cut people. Our school is so small that they take people as they get them. Never have they had enough people to try out that they have had to cut someone.

"You ready for school again?" She asked me.

"Am I ready to sit and listen to teachers talk about things that I honestly don't give a shit about for seven hours a day, five times a week. No, no I am not." I laughed, "But, hey its our senior year. It is almost over."

"Now thats something to be excited about." Trevor answered interrupting our conversation. Trevor hates school just about as much as I do. The only thing that he likes about it is that he can make fun of everyone and no one cares because he is so funny. No one really knows that everything that he says he really means and when he is being funny he is just stating the honest truth and people just think that he is joking. He's a great friend to have around when you are having a bad day.

The bus came and picked us up. We sat in the same seats we sit in every year and talked about meaningless things. It seemed crazy to think that in a year we would be off in college doing completely different things with completely different people. And, it was 182 days away. 182 days until graduation when I can get ready to leave this shitty town and go somewhere that auctally has something to offer.

When we got into school we went our different ways. You see, our friendship started and ended on the bus. We lived three different lives full of different classes. It was the unspoken truth, we were best friends but we were also strangers. And, honestly, I think we were all ok with that.

The school day was pretty boring, as usual. Teachers introduced themselves, talked about the course, and silently mentioned how their course was the most important. Its the same unbearable thing every year. I check the clock every other minute only to realize that only a minute has passed. So I sit and think to myself of all the impossible but yet sightly possible things that could happen to my class. For example, an axe murderer could come in and kill everyone and I could jump out the window and save myself. You know, normal things.

Finally the last bell rang and I was up out of my seat in record time. I grabbed my bag from my locker and headed to the bus to meet Kourtney and Trevor. We talked about how the French teacher had gained weight, again. And how the new Global teacher had a really annoying voice. Then it was our stop. We headed off the bus and took our separate ways home. It was the same thing everyday.

I got home and like usual my parents weren't home so I went up stairs to my room and went on my computer. My true best friends were online. They never met me and I never met them, and for some reason I was totally ok with this. Now, most people that go to the internet for friends are ugly and over weight but I am not. I am 5"10 and skinny. Not too skinny but the sexy kind of skinny. I long blonde hair and a slightly tan body. I guess you could say I'm quite pretty. I just have online friends because I don't find people around me the least bit interesting. They live boring lives that don't have any meaning to them. Now in all fairness, I don't do that many spectacular things either. But, when you have to have testing done every other week and are at a doctors office constantly who would have any time to do anything remotely exciting. Or thats at least my excuse.

I checked online to see if any of my friends are on and I saw that my real best friend, BelieveInMetaphors, was.

LizBeHonest: Hey :)

BelieveInMetaphors: Hi beautiful ;)

Oh did I forget to mention, we are kind of more than best friends..

LizBeHonest: How was ur day???

BelieveInMetaphors: It was great hbu??

LizBeHonest: Same school day as usual. So pretty boring

BelieveInMetaphors: Sorry baby

LizBeHonest: It's cool. Its always better when I'm talking to you

BelieveInMetaphors: Aww :)
We talked like this for hours. We might have never met but we sure had a connection. Not just an internet connection. Pun intended.
