Kazuhiko Yasuo. Ch.1
Hikari's P.O.V.
Today was happily different from the other days. It was warm, the sky was clearer, a short spring breeze blew itself gracefully pass me, without a care in the world. The best spot to admire the wonders of scenery this afternoon, was the rooftop of the school.
School had ended only a few minutes ago, the last bell rang and everyone was on their way to any after school event they had participated in. Clubs, or just heading to the Café downtown. I on the other hand, headed up the stair case. Second floor, third floor, fourth floor, all the way up until I reached the last staircase that lead towards a creaked open door.
I head up the stairs, taking timid eased steps, listening to the sounds of the departed surely fading, with nothing left but the echoing sounds of the soles of my shoes hitting the hollow like steps. My left hand grazed the painted over railing. Small chips were aligned in spots that who had ever coated them, decided was not able to reach.
I soon reached the heaved door, that was pampered with as well as the railing was treated. I removed hand from the railing, extending my arm towards the door, my finger tips reacting towards the chilled ice touch of the cold surface. I pushed the door to swing open, the farther I pushed the door, the breeze of the sakura blossoms aroma blew pass me, my jet black hair with strands of lilac blew along the waves, filling my nostrils with a sweet scent. I closed my eyes taking a few seconds to consume this small moment of peace.
A smile soon curved into my moist lips, as the breeze began to move on, calming down, reverting my silk smooth hair to lay upon the nap of my back and limped over my shoulders. 'Today... is a fine day... the suns going down.. the fusion of multiple colors, Orange, red to a hint of lavender... the wind carries a fascinating scent of sakura blossoms...' I thought to myself. Until then, I slowly opened my eye lids, revealing my cerulean optics to the world.
My eyes wandered the sky for minutes as I stepped forward a couple of steps ahead, my head tilted up high, I spun on the heel of my shoes, throwing my arms open wide, embracing this soothing moment... wishing that it would last forever. I closed my eyes once more. I stopped spinning and stumbled a bit to stand in a random direction, I placed my right hand to my heart, feeling for the rhythmic beats of badunk..badunk..badunk..
I found it calming, and it was the perfect time to use it to an advantage. I lightly tugged at the red and white checkered bow that hung low to my chest. I fiddled with the buttons of my white button up school shirt. And I opened my eyes, thinking, 'Nothing can change how I feel in this very moment.' But surely enough, I was wrong.
Standing before me, only meters away from me, standing near the rails of the rooftop, trembling, was a male. His arms swayed lazily in the shirt waves of wind, short brunette locks, hardly flowing with the wind. His white button up shirt, tucked out of his navy blue school jeans. He seemed calm, and at peace as well. Even with the short trembling shakes of possible trauma, something was off. I inched closer. Examining him more clear.
My eyes shot open wide. My heart rate began to accelerate with shock. "B-blood..?" I whispered aloud. His clothes were drenched. Stained in taints of blood, as if showered down with rain drops of crimson. And I gasped. He fidget about. He put his arms down to rest by his side's, and he slowly turned to face me.
I was frozen in place. Unsure of how to react, what to do. If I should scream, run, cry, or just stand there. My body refused to listen to me, so I couldn't do much but just stand there and stare in horror, my lips parted slightly as I inhaled and exhaled unevenly. The first thing I noticed, on his facial features, was his smile, plastered on his face. As if begging for forgiveness. And knowing all this before my eyes slowly scrolled up to look closer at his crimson facial expression.
