"Hey!" Evan called after me, "let's play a game." I was going to just keep walking, but Zack and Cassidy were directly in front of me, blocking my path. I had no choice but to turn around and do what they wanted.
"That's it," said Zack menacingly mocking me as he and Cassidy grabbed my arms, "you gotta listen," he said in a singsong voice.
I sighed knowing that whatever this 'game' was, would be life hell for me, but that wasn't much of a shock. "Alright," Nick said as he walked towards me, his cowboy boots clicking reminding me of all the pain he put me through. "It's called mercy."
Evan peered down at me from his 6' height, my fiery brown eyes gazing into his icy hard stare "Tell me how to play, Abbie or I swear you will regret being born"
I gulped and looked up at the boy who was a foot taller than me and a year older than me. "I don't know," I said with all the courage I could muster.
Evan lifted his hand and brought it down across my face. I felt the sting and I instinctively went to rub it, but Evan grabbed them first. "No, you answer me first," he said in a dangerously calm voice.
I could taste the blood dripping into my mouth so I submitted and told him how to play. Why would I submit to such a jerk? Well first of all, he's dangerously smart. Not only is he on the A average honor role, but he was accepted into Harvard for a major in psychology. Second of all, he's in a gang called Contaminate; and this gang has it out for me and I don't even know why. He always knows what I'm thinking so he always knows what I'm going to do.
When I finished explaining, Zack backed me against the fence he raised his hand and was about to bring it across my face when a strong hand stopped him. "Let's take it off the streets though," Evan said. This was it. If they didn't kill me in the 'game' my dad would kill me since I would be getting home late.
