8-Hide'n'Seek

Luke walked in through the door and although the class didn't react or at least notice his arrival ,I for sure did and I seemed to have made it obvious as he wouldn't take his eyes off me .

Was I staring at him ? What the hell is wrong with me ?

He stood broadly ,wearing jeans and a black t-shirt. Simple clothing combination ,yet it looked great on him .But then again -what doesn't ?

His memorable aftershave wafted through the room ,completely eliminating the reeking smell of socks and sweat .He seemed to have transformed it .I finally took my eyes off him after Mickey nudged my shoulder gently -"viv?" He peered over at my stern face .

"hmm"I hummed ,looked innocently at him

"we need to finish this" he announced .I looked down and noticed that we still had to calculate the solar energy for 2 more minutes .

"Oh right "I replied dully .

Luke had walked over to the teacher after hearing his name called. Swaying in his step slightly ,he stopped at the teachers desk and I watched as they talked . The noise of the room was too loud for me to catch what they were saying.

Oh God ,why am I stalking his every move ?I'm acting like a psycho ex girlfriend right now .

"Mind helping me ,viv?" Amy sulked from behind me. In a rush ,she was already starting to pack up the science equipment .I picked up the timer ,solar panel and started to put them away in the draws at the back of the room .Everyone else was clearing up too so the hustle and bustle made it possible for me to drop my timer -"oh shit "

Why am I the world's biggest clutz ?

Though it was old and tampered ,the timer was one of 15 in the school's science prep room .The school was poor ,like I said ,so if I broke this timer I'd probably have to buy a new one .

 Well, This day can't get any better.

 The porcelain timer landed upside down on the floor after the discrete sound of a smash .I bent down ,picked it up and stood u-

"Ow ! " I sqeeled .In the process of stand up ,I was too stupid to realise that someone might be standing over me .And that person was clutching their jaw in agony after my fierce and quick stand up . The timer dropped on the floor again but this time ,I didn't care .

I brang my hand right up to my head and watched as Luke raised his voice "What the fuck was that for ?" 

People stopped and tuned to look . They feed off drama so this is food to them .Heads tuned and voices hushed away ..

"I didn't realise you were behind me ...I'm sorry" I told him timidly with my head down.

To my surprise ,he bend down and picked up the timer which I left unattended on the floor .Smiling ,he walked over to the box and placed it there carefully .He didn't even look around at all the stares and people who have literally frozen .He didn't care.

"Clumsy " He remarked under his breath ,sniggering, as he skidded past me ,back to his table .

What just happened? 

Luke Eton ? Nice ? Or is that an understatement? 

Who am I kidding ...he was probably doing it to avoid embarrassment and so we could all leave the classroom asap without a single detention handed out .

I didn't even have enough time to consider ,before the bell rang aloud .

I stopped in my tracks ,confused at what this alien sound was ,before returning back to my normal state and walking back to my desk .

I put my physics book and pencil case away and did a quick clean up in my bag .It was very messy and I'm pretty sure that was a half eaten sandwich and a spilt pack of crisps at the bottom (ew!!)

My hands made contact with a smooth fold-free letter and for a minute ,I was confused .In the middle of the letter was printed Luke Etons name ....oh shot! The letter ! I was suppose to give this letter to Luke!

I though my sense of clutziness couldn't get any worse but dropping the letter and then banging my head viciously on the bottom of the table made it possible !

Everyone in the class room was gone by now and I ,as per usual ,was the last one out .The letter was clutched tightly in my hand as I left the room and made way for the canteen.

Although Carla said she would wait for me outside my class (she had maths) she was no where insight ...which meant she was either in the toilet or in the canteen .

But that's none of my concern right now .I just need to find Luke to give him this godforsaken letter .Where could he be ? 

This felt like a game of hid'n'seek that I for sure was going to lose .

I was about to walk downstairs and further my search for Luke but a nearby voice caused me to hold back -

"So tanya just leant in and we made out for like 10 minutes .She kept touching me and I wanted her to but we were outside. Will would have seen and you know how much of a snake he is. I'm pretty sure she had a boyfriend but clearly she liked me more .I mean ,come on ,I'm irresistible ."

"Oh dude. You need to find yourself a girlfriend .All those make out sessions ,one night stands! My last girlfriend had the biggest as-"

"Vivienne?" 

Daniel and Alex were walking across the deserted corridor and my presence stopped their conversation. They were friends with Luke ..I could just give them the letter ? 

"You didn't hear any of that ,did you?" Daniel asked 

"Uh no" I lied .Although I did head the gruesome things you'd expect all fuckboy's to talk about ,I didn't want them to know.

"Alright ,it's cool " Said Daniel again ,relieved .

"Do you mind handing something to Liam for me?" I asked politely ,handing the now folded up letter to the outstretched hands of Alex 

"Yeah sure "

"Thanks " I said before walking down the stairs to the canteen
