Empty For Now

It all started in mid November of 2017 it was 7th grade year and Ash was just finding her way to her 5th hour class and complaining to her best friend Sapphire (who she liked to call Zelda as a nickname) about how she could never keep a relationship and how there was no one in the school who liked her and if there was someone then they were not to her liking. But little did she know she had caught the eye of someone who would come to love her for ages to come.

So as she sat down in her class expecting another lecture from her teacher, Mrs. White, she instead got directions to get a magazine and sit back down to be put into groups of 3. Ash ended up in a group with someone she despised (Jake) and someone she didn't even know existed until then(Jonathan). So as they sat there flipping through the random magazines, talking and waiting for further instructions Ash started to hate Jake a little less and started to talk to Jonathan and get to know who he was. Well that's when Jonathan fell in love with Ash but Ash had soon forgotten he existed after that day and so everyday after that 5th hour Jonathan watched her, silently adoring her every step, her every word, her every movement and her every action.

Then in early January about two and a half weeks after Ash's birthday, a newbie came to school by the name of Ian. Jonathan and Ian became best friends and while Jonathan was in love with Ash, Ash was in love with Ian. And so eventually Ash started to talk to Ian and soon started flirting with him. They finally ended up dating and Ash was so happy the moment he said he loved her too. They dated for a month and at the start of the month she loved him but as the month progressed on she thought she was slowly losing interest in him and gaining interest in his best friend, Jonathan. So she broke up with Ian leaving him heartbroken, but the moment she did it she felt something was wrong, something was off...

She dated Jonathan for two weeks and those two weeks felt like they where dragging on forever and ever and ever because as time went on she realized she really didn't lose interest in Ian and didn't realize what she had until she lost it. At the end of those two weeks Ian got together with another girl and Ash completely lost her mind. She dumped Jonathan and brought chaos to everyone's life followed by endless texts and crying uncontrollably at the thought of him for a whole month. Well she finally did get him back and it was the happiest moment of her life she sat in her bathroom floor and cried tears of joy. But poor Jonathan, he was left crying in his room wondering what he did to make this happen, what he did to make it end, what did he do so wrong? Ash didn't realize that when he said he loved her... he actually meant it. He didn't just want her, he needed her. Well afterwards Ash and Jonathan had become close friends so Ash didn't feel as bad but Jonathan wanted to be more than just friends.

It's the start of another month of a relationship with Ian. At the beginning they were both happy and then he started becoming more and more distant as she made more and more mistakes. One night she had made the ultimate mistake and they both were in so much trouble. Ash lost her parents trust and her door and her phone and her privileges followed by disappointment from her parents and lectures that seemed to drag on for centuries. Ian had lost his phone, his parents trust also followed by disappointment from his parents and lectures for days as well. Ian had gotten mad at Ash for a whole week and on a Thursday in late May she had a meltdown in Mrs. Whites class and she ran out into hall crying like crazy. Well Ian and Jonathan had noticed her kick her desk, pick up her stuff and run out to who knows where. Jonathan had notified Mrs. White, so when Ash came back in she had Jonathan and Ian staring at her and Mrs. White running up to her faster than anything. Mrs. White had asked her what happened and what was wrong and Ash told her so she offered for Ash to go sit in the hall and Ash had told her she wanted to talk to Ian and Jonathan out in the hall separately.

Jonathan walked out into the hall and sat on the bench next to Ash and asked her what was wrong and so she told him: '' I don't know whats wrong with me, all i do is make mistakes and now Ian is mad at me because of a really big one I've made, and it also got him into trouble so i understand why he's mad at me and i'm so scared he is gonna be mad at me forever and he's gonna dump me and---" that's where Jonathan stopped her and said " You don't only make mistakes Ash, and he wont be mad at you forever, watch he'll be over it by next week when we come back to school and Ash... when he saw you crying at lunch today, something in him clicked. He isn't gonna break up with you, i know it." "yeah, but how do you know this? I feel like he is gonna break up with me, i would break up with me too... it's nothing new." Ash said as more tears welled up in her eyes. So for the next 5 to 10 minutes Jonathan sat there reassuring Ash that Ian wasn't going to break up with her.
