Chapter Four. Late Night Drive.

Mason's POV

I waited for the guy to leave before getting out of the car. Then I started walking to Gail's house. "I'll be back, Sam. Wait here."

I knew she would be alone right now because her mom works late and her brother is probably asleep. I was going to talk to her no matter what. Stepping forward, I rang the bell. It took a few seconds but eventually the door opened and Gail came into my view. She seemed shocked to see me. I don't understand why. I've come here so many times before.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE?" She was yelling like I was going to kidnap her. Didn't she know I loved her?

"Do you love me?" I asked her.

"No, Mason. I might have before. I dont know. But I don't anymore." She said it will full confidence. Does she really not have a hint of love for me? Not even a tiny place in her heart?

"Gail, what I did before was completely wrong. It was a one time thing. I never should have done it and I never will again. Please, give me another chance." I tried.

"No, I can't. You broke my trust." She was about to close the door when I stopped her.

"Who was the guy you were walking home with?"

"Wha- Were you watching me?"

"You can't walk home with guys Gail. I'm here for you, aren't I? Trust me one more time and I will prove to you I am worth it."

"I have to go. My mother might be coming soon." She backed up and closed the door before I could say anything else. It didn't matter to me though. Because I knew she was mine and she always will be. I will do anything to get her back.

Abigail's POV

You know when you just finished talking to someone and right after they leave you think of 50 other ways you could have replied. I am feeling that exactly. Mason was standing right at my door and I didn't have an ounce of courage to tell him off. Explain to him what he did to me. I opened the door and went back outside again. I looked up and let out the loudest scream I could manage. He can't control me. He can't tell me what to do. HE DOESN'T OWN ME.

"Honey... Are you okay?" I looked down and saw my mom standing in front of me looking really scared. Did she see that? Oops.

"Um, I just..yeah. Boy problems. Typical teenage stuff." I couldn't lie to my mom.

"Want to talk about it?" She offered, but she seemed kind of tired from her long day at work. I decided to let her go.

"Nah, it's okay mom. I'm fine really. You should get some rest." She nodded and walked up to me.

"If there's anything you need, and I mean anything, you can always come talk to me." She closed her arms around me in an embrace. "I love you, Abigail."

"I love you too, mom."

She smiled and began making her way inside the house.

"Hey mom, can I take your car? I want to go for a drive." She threw me her keys and told me to be careful. Once I got into the car, I started driving with no specific destination in mind. It was getting quite late and I was about to turn back when I saw a strangely familiar body lying on the sidewalk. Getting out of my car, I quickly made my way over to the unconscious looking man.

"Oh my God, Spencer are you okay?" I picked up his head and steadied it into my hands. He was still breathing, but he was bleeding and I couldn't tell where it was coming from. It seemed as if he had some sort of a head injury. I needed to get him to a hospital, fast. "Spencer, try to stay awake okay? Don't worry Spencer. You'll be fine.. just.. don't worry." I opened my car door and found just enough strength to pull him into the back seat.

"Everything's going to be okay, Spencer."
