My Dearest Juliet,
I am not dead, but I am unaware of my location or yours. I am certain you will never read this, though it matters not as I lack the words to express how distraught I am at our failure. We set out to change the world itself. Look what our hubris has brought us. You separated from me, and I not knowing what has become of either of us. My surroundings are unfamiliar. A singular light burns brightly on the desk before me. The lamp's company is only this paper and a quill with its ink.
Juliet, I fear that something is dreadfully wrong. At my awakening I had attempted to stand, but found that I was irremovable from this metal chair, which in turn was irremovable from this wooden desk. It was incomprehensible. The lamp stationed on the table had been situated in such a way that I was blinded by the light. I had reached out to adjust it, but stopped short. It wasn't my own hand in front of my face. It was something entirely alien. I was then inclined to inspect my other hand. It too was gleaming in the light. I made to inspect this horrifying discovery and only found more distress. The rest of my body was replaced with the same reflective metallic material and also unclothed. This was not the source of my distress, however. Clothing was no longer necessary because I no longer had anything to conceal. I am no longer a man. It is utterly disastrous I tell you! I am despairing Juliet! What am I to do? I don't believe myself to be human anymore. I made use of  the reflectiveness of my hands are to inspect my face. Where my eyes should be is a black band of what seems to be glass, encircling my head. I have no ears or nose, but instead of leaving a blank space, my face is just shorter. My mouth is what invokes the source of non humanity. I have nothing that could distinctly be called lips, and my teeth resemble those of a shark, save for the fact that they are a vibrant violet. If I am not a man, and not human, then how can I still be Romeo? I am a monster. I have become what we swore to stop. I truly hope that wherever those that betrayed us took you, that you have faired better than I.
     With all my love,
a monster by the name of Romeo.
