Leila pov-

I sat in my office just staring at the box that had a pregnant woman on there smiling. "Career or baby?" I asked myself out loud. Aiden then came in and Leila hid the box in her drawers. "You need to see this" he said grabbing my arm and pulling me outside.

I spotted Ryder in his suit as he stands on the podium. "Ryder what are you doing?" i mouthed, he just smiled at me. The press was here and getting excited by the looks of it. "Mr. Scanlon what are you going to say?" one of the press asked. Ryder took a deep breath as he looked at me.

"I had said some things before about my wife that I would like to change. Leila Scanlon is a hardworking, loving, caring, and a beautiful woman. I am glad she is my wife especially since like look at her and then me. I was a dork when she met she when she was a senior in high school and I was just figuring out my life. I always knew she loved politics because she would never shut up about it no matter where we are. We would be cooking and she would want to discuss foreign affairs or what needs to be improved in the town." He managed to say which caused people to chuckle. "I am so proud of what she has been doing for her town that she grew up in. She has passion and sees a future for this town. I was scared of losing her to the town which is why I said that before but as I can see now that her heart is open for everyone. I want everyone to vote for the right mayor and not because of what i said before but what i have said now. Leila Scanlon is right for this job" he finished.

I walked to Ryder and wrapped my arms around him before giving him a kiss. "I love you Ryder" I smiled as he wiped a tear from my eyes and I wiped lipstick from his lips. "I love you too" he smiled widely. "Are you guys thinking about children?" someone asked, my eyes widen. Ryder looked at me waiting to see if I'll answer. "We are open to the possibility" I smiled which he grinned widely.

I led Ryder to my office where he sat behind the desk. "Did you mean it about the children part?" Ryder asked. I thought about it for a moment before resting my hand on my stomach.

"I think I'm ready".
