Chapter Five. I hate Hospital
Mason's POV
"WHAT THE HELL did you do, Mason? You just left him there!" Sam was yelling.
"Well, obviously. I didn't want to be responsible for it! And it's not my fault a little push knocked him out." I shrugged.
"That's just cruel man."
"Well what do you want me to do?" I asked.
"Go and see if he's okay!" Sam answered as if it were the most obvious thing to do.
Abigail's POV
Spencer has been with the doctors for about three hours. I don't know if he's okay. I don't know what I'm going to do if he's not.
"Ma'am, no visitors allowed past visiting hours." The nurse told me.
"I'm waiting for my.. friend. He's in the emergency room. He has no family, I'm the only one with him." Wait, his family! I have to tell his family what happened. His phone must be with his other belongings that the doctors gave to me. I rushed to go get the bag with all his things and found his phone.
Scrolling through his contacts I found Daddio. "The number you are trying to reach is currently unavailable."
Momma. "The number you are trying to reach is currently unavailable."
Grandma. "Hello?"
"Hi, I-im Abigail Stilson. Are you the grandmother of Spencer Hoffman?"
"Yes, is there something wrong?." She sounded a bit worried.
"Your grandson is in the hospital."
It took her no time at all to get here. I explained to her all I knew. Another hour had passed and still no news. I stood up and went to the cafeteria to get myself some water.
"Would you like a bottle, Mrs. Hoffman?" I asked his grandmother.
"Sure, that would be great." I started heading toward the cafeteria. "Hey Abigail.." I turned around, "..call me Nancy." I smiled and started walking again.
Walking was something I did when I wanted to get my head clear. When I start thinking, the whole world around me dissolves into nothingnness. So when I bumped into Mason, you can only imagine what must have been going through my head to not notice him right there.
"What are you doing here, Mason." I was really tired and didn't want to deal with him.
"I came to see..a friend of mine. He wasn't where I left him so I figured he'd be here." It didn't seem like he was worried at all so I'm guessing this friend of his was probably not in need of medical care. Maybe a worker. Whatever, it wasn't my business anyways.
"Right." I said as I continued my way into the cafeteria.
"Wait, what are you doing here, Gail?" He had a hopeful look on his face.
"Dancing." I walked away done talking to that jerk. Quickly buying two water bottles, I headed back to the waiting room. Nancy was no where to be seen.
"Do you know where that lady went? She was wearing a baige coverup and black pants." I asked the nurse while pointing at the chair where she was sitting.
"Yes, the doctor came in and took her to the room where her grandson is admitted."
"I'm also here on behalf of Spencer Hoffman, would you mind telling me what room he is in?"
"Let me check. Okay, 1504. Take the elevator to your right and it'll lead you into the correct corridor."
I ran all the way there. Pushing open the door I saw him lying there with Nancy right beside him. He had bandages on his head. I looked at his body and found no other injuries. Just his head. I rushed to his side and bent down. "How are you feeling, Spencer?" I whispered.
He slowly opened his eyes and when he saw me, the first thing he said was, "Get away from me."
