Y/N'S POV
Being the daughter of Nick Fury had its quirks every once and a while, but I was very proud to be his daughter. I know that he was always busy, yet he never gave up a chance to let me be apart of his life either.
Since I did help inside S.H.I.E.L.D., I was given the assignment to attend the United Nations Conference in Vienna, Austria. It was a beautiful place, but that was not why I was here. Dad assigned me here to meet King T'Challa a.k.a. Black Panther.I already knew who he was through S.H.I.E.L.D. They sort of know everything. I'm sure there are those few things they don't know, but they know things for the most part.
The conference was beginning to start and I couldn't find an available seat. I guess I had to stand. As I went to stand in the back, someone gently grabbed my wrist and said,"Ma'am, you can sit right here next to me."
It was Agent Ross. I was familiar with him as well, given he helped me out of a situation a couple of months ago.
He immediately recognized me and said,"Hey. Sit down. It's about to start."
I sat down beside him and King T'Challa took the stage, along with his defense.
As he addressed the leaders in the room, I noticed how comfortable and fluent he was. Never once did he stutter. Never once did he turn back to gather his thoughts. He was prepared for this. Unlike me. Probably would have winged it, even if it was really important. When the conference was over, Ross said,"I'll introduce you to him."
I nodded and my hands were already sweating. I immediately wiped them against my skirt and followed Ross to King T'Challa.
King T'Challa said,"Agent Ross, thank you for being here."Ross shook his head and sent him a smile saying,"No problem, your majesty. King T'Challa, I would like you to meet Y/N. She's a friend."
King T'Challa sent me a smile and I smiled back at him saying,"Nice to meet you, King T'Challa. Very nice speech."
He thanked me and motioned over to the three women beside him saying,"This is Okoye, Ayo, and Nakia."
I greeted all of them, before King T'Challa noticed my necklace, asking me,"Lover?"
I shook my head and laughed saying,"No. This is from my best friend who doesn't have the best reputation, but I still love him. Loki, you know him?"
King T'Challa replied,"His name sounds familiar, but I do not know him personally. You work for S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
I nodded and said,"Well, what is left of it."
King T'Challa said,"Okay. You will be joining Okoye, Nakia, and I, then?"
I just nodded. It did not take that long to arrive in Wakanda. Wakanda was truly beautiful. Everything seemed so perfect and well-balanced.
The first few weeks in Wakanda I met some pretty extraordinary people, including T'Challa's sister, Shuri. Shuri was one of the sweetest, yet wittiest girls you would ever meet. It did help that we both were skilled in many different areas.I was able to report back to Dad, who was even worried about me most of the time. He would never say it over the phone, but I could just hear the concern every time I told him that T'Challa and M'Baku volunteered to train me a little.
I took what I could get and cherished it. As the weeks turned into months, I practically lived in Wakanda. I still made sure to keep Dad updated and you should have seen him when he arrived in Wakanda for the first time.Every month, I was able to learn more about Wakanda and grow at the same time, but that came with falling for T'Challa. It was the simple things he did that caused me to fall harder.
Right now, I was trying to think of a way to approach him but not sound stupid.
Speaking of T'Challa, he asked me,"Y/N, if I were to ask you to stay, would you say yes?"I smiled and nodded saying,"I would, but what if I asked you would you care for me, what would you say?"
T'Challa laughed and smiled at me saying,"I would say yes, too. Will you please stay and hopefully be my queen one day?"
I walked up to T'Challa and said,"Yes. To both of those things."
He leaned down and placed a kiss on my lips, before he said,"Now, you have to tell your father."
I corrected him saying,"No. You have to tell him."
