Clarke woke up, hearing the tv paying what sounded to be cartoons. She rolled over, looking at the small tv.
"Is this Yu-Gi-Oh?"
Bellamy turned his head. "I am genuinely and a hundred percent surprised that you know what this is. They have a very small selection of dvds in the cabinet, and the tv didn't have any reception, not even the news, so we're watching dvds."
Clarke pulled a coffee from the refrigerator, nearly chugging it. "Well, at least this one isn't horrible. I wonder if they have other ones to choose from in the main building."
Bellamy shrugged, still in his pajamas. She wrapped the comforter around her body, freezing with the air blasting.
"So, you want to count calories and hold each other accountable?" She asked.
"Fuck no," he chuckled. "But, we should go and get breakfast before it gets any later. Do you need to do anything with that?" He questioned, pointing at her face.
"Ha. Ha. Ha." She rolled her eyes. "No, just let me brush my teeth and change."
She was quick to use the restroom and change, brushing her teeth as she put her dirty clothes back in her bag. She spit and rinsed her mouth.
"I hope they have a laundry mat, too. I didn't pack enough to be living in sweat, changing five times a day."
Bellamy held the door open for her, grabbing their key. "Complain more, Princess. It's music to my ears," he sighed.
They walked next to each other on the dirt path, following the signs to the main building. Once they finally got there, Marcus and her Mom were leaving.
"We didn't want to wake you guys," Abby smiled. "Have fun today, we probably won't see you until seven. We'll do dinner together again."
"Okay," Clarke waved them off. She walked with Bellamy through the buffet line, both of them grabbing various things.
They sat together by a window, Clarke warming her legs in the early sunlight as best as she could.
"So, what do you want to do today? And no, we aren't doing group shit."
"I don't know," she shrugged. "Want to hike?"
Bellamy made a face, but he shrugged. "Okay, yeah. Let's go on a hike, why not?"
"We don't have too many options," Clarke defended. "Maybe after the hike we can swim or something?"
"Sure," he nodded.
She wasn't excited about them having to spend their every moment together either, but he seemed really unenthused.
They finished, buying water from the vending machine before setting out into the woods.
"Trail one has gorgeous flowers and is less than a mile," Bellamy read. "Trail two is the group trial, so no. Trail three explores the mountains, beautiful trees, and rocks. And trail four leads to the waterfall."
"Mountain climbing," Clarke decided.
They hiked the worn path, Clarke admiring the tall trees as they continued. The path turned rocky, challenging her. She drank some water before following Bellamy, having to use her hands more to climb and hold onto trees as they kept going.
"We've been doing this forever," Bellamy panted. "This better be worth it."
Clarke reached up, her hand sliding across a rock and scratching it. She gasped, examining it.
"You okay?"
"Fine," she nodded, grabbing a different rock.
She continued, following Bellamy until they made it to the top. Clarke pulled herself up, gasping. They could see for miles, the mountains, the trees, and a few of the cabins.
"This was worth it," she whispered. "Oh, I wish we had done this one at sunset!"
"You're bleeding," he noticed.
"It's nothing," she shrugged. She opened her water and rinsed the cut. "I'll grab a bandage when we get back."
"If you had told me you were cut we would have turned back."
"Bellamy. We are up on a mountain!" She grinned. "Come on, cheer up. This is so beautiful."
"You're right. It is beautiful here," he agreed, sitting down on the rocks. "Come here, Princess. I need a break."
Clarke sat down next to him, looking out over the trees and creek. She used her shirt to wipe her forehead, watching Bellamy as he did the same.
It made her stomach tighten with want. She rubbed his arm, not realizing what she was doing.
When she pulled her hand away, she apologized and cleared her throat. "Uh, we should head back. I need to clean my hand."
They made their way back to the cabin, Bellamy staying close on the way down the mountain, helping her if she slipped.
Once back inside, Bellamy took a quick shower while she used her small first aid kit to clean her hand and wrap it.
Bellamy exited the bathroom, wearing a low slung pair of shorts. "You sure you want to swim with that cut?" He asked. "We could wait and swim tomorrow."
She nodded. "Yeah, you're right. Can you order lunch? I'm going to wash this sweat off."
Clarke kept her hair up, washing off her body in the shower. She wrapped herself in a towel, opening the bathroom door.
"I got you a salad, chicken fingers, and fries," Bellamy announced, reading the pamphlet.
"That sounds good, thanks. Hey, stay turned around."
She dropped her towel, pulling out her panties.
"What? Oh!"
"I said to stay turned around," she scolded, but only partially meaning it. She pulled on a bra, putting on another pair of shorts and tshrit. "I'm good now."
"You could have taken your clothes to the bathroom," he said, his shoulders stiff. "What if the curtains were open? You want staff to see you naked? Or our parents?"
She sighed. "You're absolutely right, Bell. What a good brother," she sneered the last word with a huff, regretting it the instant she did it.
Opening the cabinet, she pulled out a DVD, playing it as she sat down on her bed. It was one of her favorite romantic comedies, and she needed to ignore Bellamy.
They ate their food, laying tired in their beds in silence. The only times they moved until dinner was to change the movies or use the restroom.
