The sky above New York was dark, grey clouds speckling the canvas. A soft breeze flowed throughout the sleepless city giving its inhabitants chills.
Mica sat at her desk scrolling through her laptop. She, of course, had hacked into Shield to look at files. There were a lot, and Mica was pretty sure she'd grow old before she found Phil's folder.
The screen,of the computer was her only source of light within her room. Only illuminating a small corner of the space. It's brightness being turned down to twenty percent.
Mica sighed in agitation before slamming the screen shut. She stood from her chair and walked back over to her bed. With yet another loud sigh she flopped herself onto the thick blankets. She couldn't sleep, and didn't want to sit there and search through files all night.
With one look out her large window Mica came up with a plan. She remembered her day with Pepper, Thor, and Loki. Loki had shown her a new type of fun to pass the time. The art of mischief. Mica shot back out of her bed and out of her door, a smirk making its way to her face.
"What are you doing up kiddo" Tony Stark asked as Mica as she walked into the lab. "I should say the same to you" retorted Mica grinning. Tony laughed and took another drink of his coffee. "But I am actually going to try and prank someone," She amended after a second of silence "and I was wondering if I could use a couple of things in here. If I am careful."
"Go for shit kid. Just don't hurt yourself, because I don't need Steve chewing me out" Tony responded turning to look at her, before going back to his Iron Man mask on the desk. Mica nodded and ran towards the pipes in the corner of the room. They rested in a plastic barrel. She pulled out a couple of them before making her way to the metal table in the middle of the area.
"Oh and one more question. Do you have any pies?"Mica sat on the leather couch in the front room with a plate of bacon, eggs, and toast on her lap. In her hands she nursed a cup of steaming hot coffee. "Jarvis?" She asked. "Yes miss Cass?" Jarvis responded immediately. "Would set the alarm in Loki's room off, please?" Mica asked sweetly. Natasha, Clint, and Steve, who were all in the room with her, looked over in confusion. Mica only smirked over to them and shared a knowing look with Tony.
"WHO IN THE HELL DID THIS" screamed Loki bursting out of the elevator. His face was covered in in berries and whip cream. Some of it even getting on his green silk pajamas. Mica tried to keep a straight face. She really did, but seeing the god of mischief caked in pie insides was enough to make her laugh out loud.
Loki's eyes shot to Mica, who was laying on the couch. She was laughing hysterically while trying not to spill her midgardian drink. "You think this is funny do you?" He asked her threateningly. Mica grinned at him. "Why yes sir. I do find it funny" she replied. Loki narrowed his eyes and stalked closer, causing Steve to stand from his seat. "Back off" Steve warned, but it fell on deaf ears. He walked clear to the edge of the couch.
"You have just started a dangerous game child. Are you sure you want to play it?" Loki hissed. Mica's never wavered. "Well, since I started it I might as well finish it" She retorted sassily. "Very well then" Loki said after a moment. He straightened his posture before flicking his hand out to the left. The cup of coffee in Mica's hand grew freezing cold before it flew out of her hand and onto her head.
A yell of shock came from Mica. She stood up quickly, but by doing so, knocked the plate of food onto the floor. Loki smirked before waltzing back to the elevator. Just before the doors closed he yelled out a good luck to Mica.
