"Sam, time to get up sweetie!", I heard my mother call up the stairs then run off.

"Ughhh!!!" I groaned and flopped out of bed. I was pretty much ready to leave, yet again, another town to go to a "better place". I had a few last things to pack, such as the pajamas I am wearing and my tooth brush/paste along with other bathroom appliances. I took a shower, threw some clothes on, and packed the last of my things away. I got a whiff of eggs and bacon cooking down stairs, my dad makes good bacon. I ran down the stairs and sat at my favorite spot at the counter.

"Goodmorning, sweet-pee! How's my girl doin'?" My dad called over the sizzle of the bacon.

"I'm all right, would be better if I didn't have to leave my friends..." I replied with a little irritation in my voice.

My dad gave me that look that he always gives me now-a-days. The "Do we really have to go over this again?" look. I shook my head in disappointment while he handed me breakfast.

"I made your favorite!"

"That's not always going to cover it dad, you know that."

He sighed giving me a rather heartfelt, sorry look.

By the time I had finished my breakfast, mom and dad had already finished loading the moving truck with boxes and the last of our furniture. The nice man driving the truck asked my father for the address of the house one last time then got into his truck. After he started leaving, we hurried to our car and went on our way to Massachussets... Long drive... All the way across the country!! Great. At least I said goodbye to my friends yesterday, I wouldn't have been able to today. As we pulled out of the drive way a tear began to streak my face. It seemed as if we were pulling out in slow motion, so that the pain of all the soon-to-be-gone memories could really tear me apart.

"Can we just go now!" I half yelled, and our little car drove away from our medium sized house that is now the size of a dime. Here we go again.
