Chapter 5.

*Flashback 4 years ago"

I was getting ready for the big event tonight . I was texting my best friend- no my crush Taehyung

I know him since I was like 5 and I started liking him one year ago. Of course he doesn't know.

Today his family's company holds a big event so me and mom will attend too, since mom their colleague . I wish dad could come too.. But he is always missing on business trips.

I got ready and headed downstairs.Taehyung was already there and been waiting for me . He is so cute . His black costume makes his incredibly attractive. When he saw me his jaw dropped and right after he smiled

"There is no way you are coming with that dress" he pouted

"Why? Do I look weird?" I asked a little bit ashamed

"No the exact opposite.. Everyone is going to look at you.. I am goin to let you this time since we are young and there will be only old mans so they won't stare a little girl but when we grow up I will not allow it.  I just hate it when they stare at my girlfriend" he said lookin at me , right in my eyes

"G-girlfriend?" I said fluttered

"Yes. Jeon Yoona do you want to be my girlfriend ?" Taehyung asked me while blushing

"Yes .." I said

He hugged me really tightly ..

"I know we are young but let's make a promise .. We are going to be together for the rest of our lives okay?" He said while he took out his finger to do pinky promise

"Okay, I promise"

"We should do something.. something that will remind us our promise." He said

"How about a tattoo?" I asked

Time skip

We exited the tattoo shop. I don't know what kind of person does tattoos to 14 years old kids , but he did.

"Taehyung.. I have a question.. why swallows?" I asked out of curiosity

Taehyung decided we should get couple tattoos and we got swallows.

"Because.. Swallows always come back.. So if anything happens we will now that someday we will be together again.. that our bond will not break." He answered and smiled

We arrived at the party.

It was great. I was with Taehyung all the time . I didn't see my mom till now but I guess she is just with some colleagues. It was pretty boring everyone were in their mid 40s. Taehyung's mother called him so I was left all alone . I was just wandering around until I saw someone familiar . Wait isn't that my dad? Where is he going? I decided to follow him.

He was heading to the basement. They have an enormous basement where they keep their wines . I followed him without getting noticed

He stood there and was talking to someone

"I can't let her go! I love her! And we have a daughter did you forget?!" Dad was shouting at someone

"You have a son too! But I guess you forgot about him! You have a wife too! And you want to ruin everything for this woman?" A man said

"I want , and I will! It's my life father not yours!" Dad shouted and left

But this man stayed there and called someone

"I want you to set this place on fire! I want her and her child dead." He said

Wait .. Does he means me and mom? I must hurry ! I need to tell mom! I tried to leave but someone got me and placed something in my mouth .. after that I could not feel anything. Everything started fading away.. I lost consciousness

When I started gain consciousness I felt dizzy. I was still in the basement .. I could smell the smoke .

Oh no.

They had already set the fire

I was trapped and the door was locked .  I grabbed the chair and broke this freaking door. But then flames started going against me .

I could feel my breath be taken away.  I body were almost covered in flames. I was screaming in pain, hoping that someone would save me..

I gave up.. It's amazing that the heart makes no noise when it cracks .

"Yoona!" I heard a loud voice

I could not speak I didn't have the power

"Don't worry I am here now" he said .. I saw his face. It was Taehyung.

He took me in his hands and carried me.. I could feel his cold sweat and his heart beating so fast.. After that I passed out.

The next morning I woke up in the hospital. Mom came and she was so worried ..  Doctor said I could leave . I can't wait to leave from here and go to Taehyung.

We got in our car but we took an unusual route back home .

"Mom I don't really thing this is the right destination for our home" I said

"Honey we are not going home. We are leaving from Korea we are going to America" she said avoiding looking at me

"Wait What? No I don't want to! I have my friends here! I have Suzy, Namjoon, Yoongi, Jimin, Jin , Hoseok, Jungkook and most importantly I have Taehyung!" I shouted

"Ok.. Just for one week okay? I have business there and I don't want to leave you" She said

"Okay but only one week" I said

One week has finally passed but we were not returning

"I hate you, you lied to me! How could you do that?" I shouted at my mom

"I want to go to dad I don't want to stay with you here!"

"Yoona! You don't have dad you only have me! And this is your new home whether you like it or not!" She shouted back

I couldn't hold my tears anymore

"Then I am going to leave without you" I said and left

I run outside but without realizing it I bumped into a car .. From that moment I couldn't remember anything

When I woke up I couldn't even remember my name . My mom told me I was Park Seo Lin. It was after two years that I found out my real name is Jeon Yoona. From then I have lived the life in America the way my mom told me to. But I was missing something.. I could feel my heart ache every time I saw my tattoo. And that tattoo.. I couldn't even remember why I had it ..

The heart,  like the mind, has a memory.
And in it are kept the most precious keepsakes.
