It has been 4 months living in South Korea. And for a total dork of a foreigner.. it hasn't been that bad. I'm Y/N [ Your Name ]. An American. Well.. I'm actually Korean/American. I'm sure you get the gist. The reason why I came to Korea was to study the Korean language and it's culture. Not to mention meet newer people and.. ahem see cute boys. But that's a different story! Why am I so interested in studying Korean? Well, I never knew my father. Because he passed before I was born. But my mother told me he was Korean.

And to feel a part of my dad, i decided to study Korean! And not from some silly app, no no no. I took it far and decided to move over here for the time being! My mother thought I was crazy, but she sent me off. I moved to a little place called Seoul, and I currently attend Sogang University. I live in Goshiwon ( a box room ) and even though it's not the best or biggest home ever, it's cozy. Tiny, but cozy. When I first came here, it was scary at first. But I meet a few people. Some from school and some just at a random coffee shop. And he continues to be one of my closest friends from that day. His name is Jeon Jungkook.

"Joesonghamnida! Joesonghamnida!"
( I'm Sorry ! I'm Sorry! 죄송합니다 )
I kept apologizing in Korean, since my clumsy self kept bumping into people, which half of them gave me dirty looks.

"I'm so lost. I don't know where to find those weird apartments. Ugh fuck!"
I screamed/whispered to myself. An old man looking at me with a confused look and continued on with his business. I looked around myself, my heart beating from the anxiety. It's harder than I thought. I thought it'd be easy. But it's hard. I don't know anybody. No one speaks English. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. I feel like if I don't have sugar I'll faint!

I quickly saw a small coffee shop, which seemed to be surrounded by elders and middle-aged women.
"Coffee. Good. I needed you." I yet mumbled again to myself, people yet again looking at me like I was crazy. I jogged to the coffee shop. My purse slowly sliding off my shoulder as my loud travel suitcase banged against the rocky road. I walked in, hiding my face as I walked inside. I felt the counter hit my stomach, quickly looking up.

It was a young woman, who smiled at me warmly.

"Uh- annyeonghasimnikka! I.. I uh.."
( formal Hello, 안녕하십니까 )
I totally blanked out. I didn't know what to say.

"You are a visitor?"
She suddenly asked, giggling softly.

"Huh? Excuse me?"
I asked, blinking my eyes repeatedly. Did she just ask me that in English?

"You are a visitor, yes? We get you Americans all the time here in Seoul! Welcome!"

"You speak English!? Oh thank the Lord! I thought I was in deep trouble!" I laughed awkwardly, sighing in relief.
"Th-Thank you. And no, I'm studying here to well.. study Korean. I just got out of the airport! Ha..."

She giggled once again. "That's very fun! I hope everything goes well here for you in Korea."

"Thanks again.." I looked at her name tag, "Mi Na."

She shined a smile, nodding.

"What would you like to order?"

"I was gonna get coffee but.. I'll just get an ice tea."
It just looked more refreshing, honestly.

"Yes. I'll call your name once it's ready! Right.. what's your name?" She asked, taking out a note pad and a cute pen that had the logo, BTS on it. Whatever that was.

"Y/N."

"Alright, I'll call you once it's out!"

"Thanks so much, Mi Na." I paid her, quickly taking out my phone to check if my mom had called me or texted. Nothing. I had my head down, so I wasn't seeing where I was going- did I mention I was clumsy?
