Georgie had known for some time that there was something wrong with his new friend, Pennywise. Afraid of people, Pennywise hid in the sewers, and came to the grate at the same time every day to talk to Georgie. Georgie liked his friend, even if he dressed like a clown. He talked funny, and his nose honked too, just like a real clown's nose, too! But then, kids started disappearing. Georgie was the first one to go missing. Pennywise was scared for his friend, and for the first time, he came above the sewers to find his beloved friend.
Grotesque in appearance, he was twisted in ways no human should have been. It was very clear that he had been born that way. He was abandoned at a travelling freak show as a baby, and "Pennywise" was the only name he had known. Scared of most things, he hadn't meant to stumble into Bill one day. But he had, and he flinched, expecting to be hit and chased away. Bill looked at the man before him and slowly reached out. "H-He-Hey, wha-what's wrong?" He asked, hating that his stutter was so bad at this moment. It was clear to him that something was wrong with this man, but he couldn't quite figure it out. "I - I gotta -- gotta.. uhm.." Pennywise wasn't the best at remembering things, and he beat himself in the head with his fist as punishment.
"Stupid! Stupid Pennyvise!" He slurred, and Bill grabbed at his arm, eyes wide. "I-Its okay! T-Ta-Take your t-time!" He cried out in fear, and Pennywise was clearly terrified of the sudden grip on his arm. "Gorgie!" He said suddenly, tears in his large, blue eyes. Bill looked at him, and he frowned.

"Gorgie my friend. We wo-wood play together evey day!" Pennywise said, between bites of the sandwich Bill had made him. It was peanut butter and jelly, one of Bill's favorite sandwiches too. Next to the plate, there was a juice box, and Pennywise picked it up with gentle care, shaking as he took a small drink. "I wanta f-find him," he said, looking at Bill, who nodded. "I've b-been l-looking for him t-too," the oldest Denbrough child said, and Pennywise gasped, eyes wide. "Gorgie talked about you! He said you w-was his hero!" He said, eyes shining with childish happiness. Bill blushed and smiled, coughing slightly in embarrassment.
"When you're done with th-that, I wa-want you to m-meet my friends." He said, and Pennywise nodded happily, finishing his sandwich and juice, getting up slowly, following Bill out the door in his odd, shuffling gait.
