Acxa picked me up from the party and picked Pidge up on our way home too. Pidge was staying the night and I had a lot to rant to her about. Once Pidge got in the car she insisted that she plug in her phone."I promise it's good music!" Pidge whined and pleaded. Acxa groans, "That is exactly what you said before you put on Siri rapping for an hour straight on the trip to the lake." Pidge grumbles something and I decide to give her the benefit of the doubt. "Come on Acxa, she's being serious now."

The entire car ride home was the remix of the vine "country boy I love you" over and over. I have decided to never trust Pidge with music again.
Pidge and I sat on the carpet in my living room. My house may be bland and empty but at least we have an Xbox One. I'm showing Pidge Fortnite and Pidge is so confused. "What is the this storm made of? Acid rain? Why are we all fighting each other? Can't we be friends?" I groan, "Pidge it's just a game." I watch as she hits people with her pickaxe because she couldn't get to a chest.
"It is not JUST A GAME! There's a story behind everything KEEF!" Pidge yells at me and then yells at the screen, "DIE MOTHERFUCKER! YOUR MOM DOESNT LOVE YOU!" As she hits an innocent player with her pickaxe multiple times. Pidge thinks she's won until randomly the player pulls out an assault rifle.
"Shit."
Pidge died in 89th place.
"Hey! I got 89th place! I did good!" Pidge shouts happily. I stare directly into her eyes and deadpan, "Out of 100. Yeah great." Pidge rolls her eyes and hits me on the shoulder. I'm just about to hit her back when someone walks in. It's my step mom.
"Hey kids. I made sandwiches!" Pidge turns around and delightfully takes one, "Thank you Ms. Shirogane!" My step mom smiles sweetly at me. I walk forward and take a sandwich off the plate she's carrying. It's got white sauce oozing out the sides. What the fuck is this shit? Is she trying to poison
"This looks disgusting." I say blandly. I take a bite of the sandwich. Tuna. "It taste disgusting too." Then I plop the sandwhich back on the plate and my step mom looks at me, her pretty face red with embarrassment and her eyebrows furrowed in hurt. Pidge's mouth is wide open. I grab Pidge's hand, "Come on let's go to my room." Pidge nods but I know she's really confused.
We walk up the stairs and down the dark hallway to get to my room. When I open the door I hold it so Pidge can go in first. I then lock it. I don't want my stepmom coming in while we're talking. Or anyone for that matter.
Pidge sits in my spinning desk chair and I sit on the edge of my bed. "SoooooO what was that?!" I turn my head at her spinning figure, "What was what?" She stops the chair and rolls her eyes, "Why'd you talk to your stepmom like that? I know you don't like her but don't you think that was a little much?"
I shake my head, "Definitely not. She knows I hate tuna." Pidge doesn't seem to think that's a valid answer but shuts up. Pidge spins around again while asking me. "So where did you and Lance go after the party?" I gulp. How does she know that? "How do you know that?" Pidge stops spinning and stares at me with her legs crossed on the chair. Her elbows rest on her knees. "Lance was texting me and he was asking why you went home so quickly. So I asked him where you two were hanging out and he told me you two left the party to get ice cream together." Pidge squints at me through her glasses.
"We were bored of the party that's all." I say and look away. Pidge stands up and takes off her glasses, "Are you sure? Because Lance said you stormed off and you were going to leave but he climbed on your motorcycle and told you where to go. Now I'm asking; why'd you storm off? What happened?"
I gulp and fiddle with my hands in my lap. She's onto me! "I got bored." Pidge groans, "You wouldn't storm off, Keith tell me the truth!" I mentally face palm. "Fine. I'll tell you why I stormed out." Pidge smiles eagerly. "Allura purposely hard core made out with Lance in front of me just to make me angry. I think she might know that I used to like Lance."
Pidge's face automatically angers. "I've never liked Allura and now she's just trying to get you jealous? What a bitch!" I nod, "Yeah but at least Lance followed me out of the party where his girlfriend was to go to an ice cream shop with me." I smirk smugly. Pidge high fives me, "Don't worry Keef you've got him in the bag."
"Kids! I got dessert!" I hear my stepmom, Aiko, yell through my bedroom door. "We're coming!" I yell back. Pidge and I race out the door. I hope Aiko got something good.
We run down the stairs and into the dining room where Acxa and Aiko already sit. "Your father took Shiro on his business trip so they won't be here for about a week." Aiko smiles at Pidge and I and I'm surprised because she's never this nice.
"Kids I got cheesecake. Sorry if it's not your favorite, there was a sale." There are so many things wrong with that sentence. Aiko never apologizes. Aiko doesn't need a sale and my father hates cheesecake so we never get it. Does Aiko like cheesecake and this is the only time she can have it? Probably.
I sit next to Acxa and she looks just as surprised as I do. Pidge sits across from em and she looks hungry. Out maids brings slices of cheesecake on plates for us. Mine I notice is strawberry cheesecake, Acxa's is chocolate chip and Pidge's is plain cheesecake. I look over at Aiko's and she also has plain cheesecake. She looks apologetically at Pidge, "Sweetheart I'm sorry, I didn't know which flavor you preferred so I got you original." Pidge shakes her head quickly and grabs a fork to start eating, "It's perfectly fine Ms. Shirogane." My stepmom shakes her head, "Please. Call me Aiko." Acxa and I stare at our cheesecake.
How does she know I love strawberry? How does she know Acxa loves chocolate chip cheesecake?
"Acxa, Keith dears. Are you wondering by chance how I know your favorites?" Aiko asks with a slight smile. I'm scared of how friendly she's being so I don't answer. Acxa, being the brutally honest person she is, speaks up, "Yes. How do you know?" Aiko laughs quietly and eats a piece of cheesecake.
"I did raise you after all. I'm pretty much your mother." My stepmom says with a sad smile.
So I gave the stepmom a name! Aiko. I know it's a pretty basic name but. Also if you're wondering why her name is Aiko Shirogane it's because when she married Keith's Dad, Mark Kogane she decided to keep her last name and so did Shiro (Takashi). So pretty much their names are Mark Kogane (father), Aiko Shirogane (stepmother), Takashi Shirogane (oldest brother), Acxa Kogane (oldest sister), and Keith Kogane (youngest brother). Sorry if it's confusing and thank you for reading! Sorry it's a boring chapter!!!
