I knew that the people who were after Anna would keep coming back, and the more desperate they got, the more frequent they would come - the stronger they would be. We did our best, none of us wanted to lock Anna in the bar either.
"Those green's will probably track her down here anyways, and if Kusangi's bar gets ruined he'll fucking lose his mind." Yata had said.
I knew that they would come, and it made me constantly feel like I was about to throw up.
"They should be back right now." I began, swallowing hard.
"Don't worry so much, you look sick." Yata replied.
I sighed heavily in reply, looking to him as he stared at the ceiling. Even though he was telling me not to worry, I knew he was just as scared as I was to see if Anna would come home with Rikio today.
I decided to try and distract myself by looking around at all the pictures of the good old days, before the reality of the world crushed all our happiness.
Tatara had such a gentle smile. I thought, pressing my fingers lightly to the picture.
I turned my head and looking to the calendar, I had written Mikoto's and Tatara's death anniversary date on it, "Two weeks, Yata. It's been almost a whole year."
"Really? Yeah, I guess this is around that time, huh?" He replied bluntly.
It still hurts, Mikoto, Tatara. But it's getting better.-
Rikio sat in the seat across from me, holing onto my hand as I held back frustrated tears. Anna was who knows where, none of us had any idea if they were hurting her or not, and in the worst case scenario, when and if we manage to find her she could be dead.
Yata knocked on the bar counter, thinking of what to do.
"What about talking to the Blue's?" Rikio began, "Yuri, do you-?
I shook my head. The blues would never help me.
"What about Fushimi?" I began, "Misaki-kun, Fushimi could help us, and you're the only one who could get him to do it."
"Like hell." He grumbled, "That son of a bitch wouldn't give me a second thought."
"But Anna? Even if he hates us, Anna is an innocent child, he has to help, it's his job." I urged.
He made a sound of frustration, stepping off the bar stool and stomping out of the bar, slamming the door behind him.
"I'm so sorry, Yuri." Rikio began, squeezing my hand, "I'm sorry I couldn't save her."
"It's okay Rikio, don't blame yourself." I sighed in reply, "There's nothing any of us could have done."
