I Am Me

Day 1

I sighed as I got ready for school. But at least it's almost summer. "Jake! We have to get going!" "Okay!" I pulled my shirt on and went out of my apartment. I share with my best friend, Oliver. He has been with me my whole life. Even after my parents decided they didn't want me anymore, don't ask why. I was pushed and glared at Oliver. His short like afro was everywhere as usual, dark skin that literally pops out by the sun and his sea green eyes that tell a lot about him. He grabbed his same every day blue hoodie and jeans and black converse. "Really? Blanking out already?" "Shut up and let's try to get to school on time." We laughed as we got coffee and went to school. 

The bell went as we got to it and we ran and made it a few minutes before our teacher, Mr. Grant came in. "Hello class! Today we have a new student!" There was a beautiful girl behind him. She had beautiful long black hair, blue eyes and dark skin that was flawless. She was wearing a plain black shirt with a red plaid shirt around her waist and a school approved skirt and green converse. She took my breath away. "This is Selena. She has just transferred from Haley High School." She smiled and looked right at me. 'Why at me?!?!' Mr. Grant looked around for empty seats. 'Not by me, not by me!' "You can sit next to Jake. Jake! Raise your hand please." 'Why do you hate me Mr. Grant?' I raised my hand and she sat next to me. "Hi! I'm Selena. Your name was Jake, right?" "Yeah, nice to meet you." She smiled so sweetly. "Wanna be friends?" "Yeah sure." I looked away and knew my face was on fire. 'Why, why, why does she make me feel like this?!' I groaned and fell asleep while the teacher was talking about something I've heard a million times.

"Oh my God! That felt like forever!" My other best friend, Ashley. Her short green hair, dripping with water from her shower cause she never dried her hair, tan skin and her blue eyes. She was wearing her usual Panic At The Disco! shirt with leggings and red converse. She jumped on my back and I nearly fell over. She laughed as I tried to not let us fall over. "Why do you always have to do that when I'm tired?" She just laughed and got off me. "Because I know that will wake you up before we go to gym after lunch!" She yelled in my ear then ran off to the cafeteria. "Why are we friends with her?" "I ask the same thing when I wake up to you snoring." Oliver said as I playfully punched him. "Ha ha, very funny. Now lets get some food." He put his arm around me and as we walked, I saw Selena. She was laughing with her friends. 'Beautiful.' I thought as I was dragged to the cafeteria.

"Oh my God Selena! He keeps looking at you!" "I know Eliza! He's so hot!" I gushed as he was pulled away from his friend. "Does he have a girlfriend?" "No, but not yet at least." My new friend, Eliza said. "Yeah, it's going to be me." A girl said as we walked by her. I think her name was Jasmine? I don't know. But her fake tan and dyed blue hair aren't getting her anywhere. "He likes me, got it?" "Whatever you say." She scoffed and walked away. "He totally likes you." Eliza said as she was out of earshot. "I hope so, he's so cute! His muscle physique, hazel eyes, light skin and short brown hair are to die for! I mean, I swear I will die if he let me wear his blue hoodie!" I said as we walked to get some food.
