Ughhh. I opened my eyes and a few pictures on the wall grabbed my attention.
They were childish but cute. And then a beeping came into hearing range and I turning my head to see I was set up to a monitor. Why would Ryan hook me up to a monitor?To make everything else confusing a doctor with a nurse walked in with a smile their faces. Why would Ryan bring me to a hospital?
"Ahh you're awake. How're you feeling?" The dr questioned kindly. I am so confused.
"I um feel ok but I'm really confused." I admitted and looked around noticing a figure on the chair. I thought it was Ryan but I looked closer and noticed in was a feminine figure.
"Right. We expected this since you suffered from a concussion from the amount of blows to your head. The concussion caused you to lose any memory from the last 24 hours." He explained smartly and the nurse nodded to him.
I looked at his name badge and noticed he was a trainee and his name was Ace.
"You were found by police who got a report from someone saying something suspicious is going on at the house. When they got there the guy with you Ryan I think his name was. Well he was about to do some unspeakable things as mentioned in his statement from the police station and now your here getting checked up on and your mums in that chair." He informed and I nodded but then it clicked.
"Mum? OH MY GOD IM FREE!" I gleaned laughing and waking mum up.
Ace smiled at me and mum looked up wiping sleep from her eyes. It took a moment for her to process it but after she noticed I was awake a massive smile spread across her face and she launched forward squeezing the life out of me but I didn't care I felt so warm something I haven't felt in a long time.
++++++++++
"We never gave up searching though. I never gave up hope." Mum smiled and I smiled back. She never gave up on finding me like Ryan had said.
The doors to my room opened and in came my dad and sister Benita with concerned looks on their faces. When they locked eyes with mine all colour drained from their faces.
Benita was the first one to break the eye contact and launched for me holding onto me as if she had let go I would disappear as though I wasn't real.
"Oh my god it's really you." She sobbed into my shoulder. She didn't let go for a good 20 minutes until dad came and hugged me too.
I felt so happy. I was out of the basement. Yet it only took 5 torturous years.
Theeeee enddddd... joking there's an epilogue.
