I know, I know, why publish this when I have three WIP's? Because I can, that's why!
Have fun reading!
Only a few students were sitting in the Great Hall, the weather too compelling to stay inside. At the Gryffindor table Rafael Álvarez wondered how much he'd get in trouble if he were to cheat on his Divination test. His mother would have a fit if he'd get caught. It still seemed more promising than learning. Rafael sighed. He needed to ace this test if he wanted to safe his grade and head. His mother wouldn't be pleased with a Poor in Divination.
Rafael put his quill away, he had enough of taking notes for now. The Gryffindor cast a wistful look towards the big window at the end of the hall, he'd rather be outside playing Quidditch than studying for this pointless Divination test.
He begrudgingly reread the page with the element distribution. How Aquarius was an air sign he'd never understand, it literally had the Latin word for water in the name! Frustrated, Rafael put his head between the two opened book pages. Maybe all the information would get into his brain that way.
"Is this a new learning method?" an amused voice questioned behind him. Rafael lifted his head. "Lola, hey," he greeted the older girl, "No, it's me being done with the universe."
She looked over his notes. "Need any help? Divination is my favourite subject," she said, giving Rafael an idea. "Do you remember what was in the last test during 5th year?" This was the closest he could get to cheating. "Well, the last question was definitely writing down your own astrological sign," Lola remembered. Good, Rafael already knew that he was a Sagittarius, so at least he wouldn't get zero points.
Just when Lola was about to say more a white, see-through capuchin monkey jumped on the table, startling Rafael. "Merlin's pants," he yelped, almost knocking over his inkwell.
"Hey, Rafael, if you didn't jump from the Astronomy tower already meet me in our DADA classroom. I finally found it!" the patronus said in the caster's jolly voice. Rafael's eyes widened. Did Luis speak about what he thought he was? When Luis had told him that Ofelia needed a time turner to attend all of her selected classes he had thought that the oldest Perida child would move heaven and hell that the valuable and dangerous object wouldn't fall in Luis hands. Apparently, that hadn't been the case.
The monkey still hadn't dissolved, meaning it had to deliver another speech to someone else. Luis' patronus then hopped of the table, making its way towards the Slytherin table. Rafael and Lola watched as Alicia received a message as well.
His older sister rolled her eyes and stood up. It took her only a few seconds to walk over to her house rival's table. "Do you know what that was about? It only told me to go to the DADA classroom," she said, not even bothering greeting them. Lola shook her head. Alicia's gaze was fully on him now. "I have a feeling," he revealed, shrinking under the Slytherin's look. "Well?" his sister asked. "He may have mentioned something about Ofelia's time turner, but-" Lola interrupted him. "I knew it! He's up to something! That grin he wore during lunch was too suspicious," she exclaimed.
Rafael cursed himself for speaking. Why couldn't he keep his mouth shut?
"Uh, I need to go," he said, hastily packing his Divination book into his school bag, "see you two around." And with that Rafael was on his way out of the Great Hall.
