Sitting down next to me, I closed my eyes once again leaning my head back onto the tree.
"Hey" Jason mumbled.
"Hi" I quietly said back.
There was a long period of time where not one of us said anything. It was nice. But he broke the silence soon after.
"Im not going to say what's up because it's not really my business but just so you know I'm here if you need to talk" Jason said before leaning his head on the tree. Our heads where about an inch apart. "Also I dont want you to get your panties in a twist like you just did back there" he smirked.
"Thanks" I whispered.
"You havent talked to me. If it's about me going to-" he started but I cut him off.
"No, I just havent seen you" I came up with the best excuse I could think of. Truth is, I dont actually know why I havent talked to Jason. Maybe it was because I didnt want to get trapped in his game. I dont want to be another girl on the list.
"Oh."
There was another long silence. This one wasn't awkward or uncomfortable, but it annoyed me. It was deafening.
"My grandma is in hospital" I suddenly spoke up. That was the only thing I could think of to break the silence. Jason lifted his off the tree and looked over at me.
"I'm sor-" I cut him off before he could finish.
"She's okay. Broke a rib by tripping on something and falling down the stairs, but thankfully she's fine." I shook my head at how clumsy she is.
"I've got a question for you Miss Williams" Jason spoke up after a couple of seconds. I laughed at the nickname. I didn't say anything so he took that as his que to continue.
"Why did you freak out and leave when I was about to kiss you?" It caught me off gaurd.
"I'm just not that type of girl Jason" I said. I didn't want to go into detail, but I knew I couldn't really hint to what I was trying to say.
"What type of girl?"
"I dont want to just be another girl you try and fuck." I got straight to the point.
His eyes widened. "And what makes you think I'm that kind of guy?"
I looked over at him giving him a dull look. "C'mon. You're the 'popular one,' you get girls staring at you all the time, you have tattoos!"
He chuckled. "Did you ever hear me admiting it myself?"
I thought for a second. Actually, he was right. I hadn't ever heard him say anything. Just Sophia drilling unnecessary information into my head. "Guess not."
He reached over, grabbing my waist and pulling me over so I was sitting in his lap. "Shall we skip the rest of the day?"
I thought about it. Maybe I could get my mind off my grandma, because at the moment I just want to get into another taxi and get straight to that annoying chair next to her bed so she isnt by herself. But she wont let me.
"Sure." I smiled, standing up from his lap.
After walking round for a bit, we decided to just go to the dorms. But this time, we went to mine. Pulling my key out, I slid it into the door walking in and holding the door open for Jason to follow.
He whistled while looking round. "You're a rich girl."
I shook my head, "shut up."
I threw my card on the table and walked through to the kitchen grabbing a water from the fridge. "You want anything?"
