Chapter 13: Father knows the truth

Opening her eyes, Rose realize that she is in her room at her fathers place and decided to get up to find someone. Looking down she has bandages around her waist and leg, then everything that happen came back to her, hearing a snore she look to her right to see Blair sleeping. Blair she whisper out causing Blair's eyes to snap open wide, you're awake finally, thank God, I was starting to worry about you even though the doctors said you will be alright.

Why were you worrying about me? Rose ask confuse, Blair's mouth drop open before she ask are you serious? Do you have any idea how long you were unconscious? It has been a week Rose, the doctor said you need rest and it will be best that you sleep so that your wounds heal properly. You weren't responding to anything Rose, it was almost like you were dead, thank God they could of feel your heart beat and see your chest rise and fall from breathing.

Then all of a sudden Blair started crying, I was truly worried about you, why didn't you tell me that Mary and Jack was helping with the people that is after you? Tears started spilling out of Rose eyes, I did not want you to get hurt because of me, Blair these men are extremely dangerous and they do not care who they hurt, as long as the person is around their target they will take them out.

Rose? You know I will do anything to make sure you are safe but I have to warn you, I do not trust Mary at all. She seems off, especially how she just pop up out of the blue then all of a sudden the Russian's have found you and they know your every move, She is hiding more information, Blair said.

You are right, but She is the only person alive that knows who, where and what these Russian's can do. Other than that, I am clueless about any and everything and the fact that Evan Dalton was her father, she has to know more than she is telling me, Mary is the key to putting this Jigsaw puzzle together, Rose said throwing her head back to the bed headboard exhausted.

Sitting up straight Rose smile to herself, okay how about this, I continue looking to Mary for more info and you try to dig up information on Mary, you profile whether she is to be trusted or not, I believe you when you say something seems off about her, I have the same feeling from time to time but I do not want to confront her only to find out am wrong, that will make me feel like a horrible person.

I agree Blair said, the door open revealing Antonio and Gabriel. We came to check on you, papa said you weren't feeling good and was sleeping long, I made sure your room had flowers, Gabriel said making his way to her. Aww, that is so sweet of you Gabe, she open her arms to him and he jump into them hugging her. I told big brother to give you a kiss like how the prince did in sleeping beauty but he is a wimp so I did it, so he scolded me, Gabriel said rolling his eyes while pulling away from Rose.

It is inappropriate to touch a girl like that Gabriel, especially when they can't respond to tell you that it was wrong. Gabriel pouted at his brother who in return shake his head, It's time for bed know buddy, but Toni I wanna stay with Rose for the night, Gabriel whine. No! mother wants you in you bed before they come home, Antonio said, he knows his brother is hard headed when he doesn't get what he wants.

You know what, how about I help take you to bed and tuck you in, then when I am free I will stay up with you to build a fort out of sheets and pillows, watch movies, eat popcorn and snacks. We will have our own little get for us and who ever wants to join, how does that sound? Rose says with a bright smile. Gabriel starts clapping his hands with excitement, you promise? He ask happily and in return Rose says pinking promise sticking her pinky, he grab it with his own pinky and says deal.

When Antonio and Gabriel left, with the help of Blair she made her way to Gabriel room to tuck him in as she promise, then headed downstairs only to stop midway when she heard a voice speaking Russian. Peaking around the corner she sees Mary and one of the workers speaking, making her quietly gasp. She became curious as to how one of her father workers knew Mary when she just showed up in Italy not to long ago.

Hearing the front door open she pretended she just walk down, Rose? You are awake, Mary says with surprise causing Rose to respond with a smile. Footsteps made their way into the kitchen, making Rose turn to see her father their with a bright smile on his face, mia figlia, ti senti meglio ora? (My daughter, are you feeling better now?). Sì, signore, I came down here to get something to eat, I am starving but that is to ne expected from a person waking up after a one week.

Sitting down, Samuel motion for Rose to do the same, as she accepted the offer, questions was fired her way. She knew Mary told him everything but she could not help but think that there was more to Mary, like when her father entered the room she practically saw Mary fist clench before walking out of the kitchen leaving her and her father alone. 

Look father I did not want you to find out like this, I didn't even want my mother's side of the family problems to end up at your doorstep because the Russian's are known to destroy anyone who get in their way. Tears flow out of Rose eyes, I guess I did not want to be the cause of a war that is ready to be activated. Wiping her tears away, her father pull her into a hug, at first it was awkward but after sniffing his scent she relax into his embrace.

Her father had gotten the staff to make lunch for her, then she made her way to bed. She had heard him give Terry and Niko orders and now that her father knows the whole truth she knew she will be watch 24/7, but their is still this feeling she had about Mary, closing her eyes she fell asleep.
