Dinners ready

Iris POV

"Hey Iris can you put that pan on the table," Buffy said.

"Sure,," I said grabbing the pan and putting it on the food-filled table.

"Buffy this all looks great and smells awesome," I say.

"Yeah the internet is a wonderful place," Buffy said.

As soon as I went back in the kitchen to help Buffy there was a knock on the door.

"I got it," Marty said jumping off the couch and opening the door.

"Hey Cyrus dinners almost ready come on in," Marty said.

Cyrus and the twins came in with bags.
"Hey Mom we need to wash our hands," Diamond said running with Barry upstairs.
My mom senses were going off and I was going to check what they were doing when someone else came through the door.

"Jonah wassup man I haven't seen you in
a long time," Marty said bringing Jonah in for a man hug
I haven't seen Jonah since the double date that he and Amber and me and Cyrus had.
He looked like a taller version of his middle school self.

"Hey Cyrus I found our old middle school yearbook," Buffy said looking up to see the sunrise guest

"Hey Buffy," Jonah said.
Buffy look in awe like she saw a ghost.
"Yeah sorry for dropping in so unexpectedly, and," Jonah started to say before Buffy ran up and hugged him.
"You're always welcome here," Buffy said tear eyed.
"Thanks, Buffy," Jonah said.
"You had me so worried never do that again," Buffy said in an intimidating tone.
Jonah nodded his head
"We have extra seats, trust me you'll enjoy what I cooked," Buffy said.

Cyrus put the bags on the counter and walked towards me.
"Hey Iris," He said
"Hey babe," I said kissing him on the cheek
"How was your bro park hang out time," I said.
"It was great me and Jonah caught up some missed time," He said.
"That's good that you caught up with your vest friend," I said.
"You still remember that," He said chuckling
"Yeah you wouldn't stop talking about it for a month," I said remembering Cyrus obsessed over his MVP space otters jersey on our dates.
"Yeah good times, hey question how do you feel about a new pet," He said.
Well after the untimely death of our two Beloved fish Bruce and Larry I think we need a little more time to mourn," I joked
Cyrus chuckled a little
"Why you think we should get another pet," I said
"No it was just a question, did you see where Barry and Diamond went," He Said
"Yeah upstairs they've been washing their hands for 3 minutes," I said thinking about what they were up too.
"I'll go check on them," Cyrus said heading towards the stairs.I satred at him running towards the stairs, wow I love him so much.
I sat on the couch and just started scrolling through social media.

"Hey Iris," Jonah said from behind me
"Jonah, hi how are you doing," I said getting up and giving him a hug
"Good, how about you," he said
"Doing good too," I said
"You mind if I sit," he said
"No, go ahead," I said
Jonah sat down and took a look around.
"It's like a reunion seeing all these people I haven't seen in years," I said
"Yeah it didn't feel the same without Cyrus and you too," he said.
"Yeah I missed it here but I had no choice back then and Cyrus he had a choice to stay but he came with me l," I said
"Trust me with the Cyrus I know it wasn't a choice for him," He said
"Yeah he's a gift and im so happy to have him in my life," I said
"Yeah he's docious," He said with the same catch phrase he used our school days.
"Yeah enough of me what lucky lady has your eyes," I said
"Umm his name is Max," He said
My eyes went big .
"Oh I didn't know you swing both ways," I said
"Yeah, no problem," He said
"When did you know," I said curiously
"In middle school," He said
"Ouu who was it," I said
"Who was what," He said
"The guy who made realize," I said
"I don't really remember," he said
I knew he was hiding it Jonah was not a good liar.
"Was is someone I knew," I said thinking of all the possibilities
"Yeah kind of" He said
"Was it Leo," I said
"The narcissistic alpha male,no,"
"Trent," I said

"Austin," I said

"Dez, Johnny, Josh," I guessed.

My eyes went open as I looked around the room
"Oh ok I get it," I said knowing the obvious answer
"Yeah I hope this dosen't make us akward or anything," he said.
"Don't worry it won't I understand and I won't tell Buffy," I said thinking it was Marty.
He had a confused look.
"Sure," He said.
"I'm going to go help Buffy, nice talk," he said getting up and walking into the kitchen.
After all my years of hearing Barry lie I know he was lying. So I used my context clues to paste it all together. Someone I knew and something that would make it akward. It didn't take me long
"Cyrus," I said to myself.
I looked at Cyrus walking down the stairs with the kids. I wonder if he knew.
I got lost in thought until someone knocked on the door.
"I got it," Marty said.
Opening it to see Andi
"The Mack is in shack," Andi said walking in
"Andi your right on time I just finished cooking," Buffy said placing 2 jugs of milkshakes followed by Jonah with the cups.
"Smells awesome," Andi said hugging Buffy. We all approached the table. Cyrus sat near me with Jonah sitting next to him.
"Alright guys it took me hours but it's finally complete," Buffy said uncovering the food.
There we're baby taters, pancakes, and square sandwiches and of course the famous milkshakes mimicking the famous spoon diners popular foods. I was shocked and superised and startstruck with nostalgia.
"Buffy this is amazing," Andi said
"Yeah you really outdid youself," Cyrus said
"Is there any real food or just side dishes," Diamond said earning a shhh from me.
"Yeah 5 bags of Baby taters form the spoon," Buffy said
"Wow it looks just like ones at the spoon," Cyrus said
"Well enough talk let's eat," Buffy said
I have computer now so I can update faster instead of writing on my phone so expect more chapters soon. Thanks for reading.
