Rescue (Tom Hiddleston/Avengers fanfic)

Chapter 4

***Morgan's POV***

We made it to Stark tower. Thomas grabbed the bags and we hopped in the elevator. Thomas picked up and swiped his SHIELD ID badge to start it and Jarvis' voice rang in. 

"Welcome Agent Hiddleston and Miss Atwell. The Avengers are waiting for you on the top floor. Enjoy your stay." The elevator began its ascent, Thomas put his card away, "Thank you Jarvis." 

He held my hand in his. "Thomas? Why do you have your gun on your belt for a party?" He knew I didn't like the gun, I knew it was important and part of work but I didn't like it around me.

 "I'm sorry darling, I know. Director Fury asked all the agents to wear one tonight. It makes him feel better." I only nodded back. Thomas sighed, placing a hand on my cheek so that I'd look at him. 

He had that look in his eyes again. I giggled, "What?" "You just simply take my breath away. That's all." He leaned in closer until our lips collided. 

His lips were soft, he began placing kisses on my neck, teasing me.

 "Thomas! We're in an elevator!" I laughed, secretly enjoying this. 

He stopped to look at me again. "And?" Once he asked he went right back to kissing my neck.

"Tony is probably watching on his camera! Thomas smirked at me "So? He's not MY boss!" He smashes his lips into mine again, just as the kiss became more passionate, elevator doors were opening. And of course we were met by Clint. 

My eyes widened in both shock and embarrassment. Thomas just laughed, Clint looked grossed out. "You two are nasty. Get a room. I use that elevator!" "Sorry mate." Tom shrugged. 

We exited and entered the room which was full of windows for walls. Soon we reached the foyer area where Tony's red and black couches were. A mini bar was right around the corner. On the couches say Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanov, and Bruce Banner.

 Standing by the bar we're Tony Stark, Pepper Potts and Director Fury. Everyone stood when we entered.

 "Well look who it is, the newlyweds!" Natasha joked, everyone clapped obnoxiously, I rolled my eyes at her, smiling 

"Almost, Nat. Not quite!" I walked over to her, giving her a hug. "How's things?" I asked, "Oh nothing new, just keeping these boys in line." She smirked. 

"We let her think that she is." Steve interjected, pushing past Nat for a hug. 

"Wow Steve, you've gotten more muscle since I last saw you!" I felt like I was being hugged by a giant bear or something. Steve let me go and placed a hand on my shoulder "How are things going with Tom? Is he treating you well?" Steve asked,

 I noticed that Tom had wandered over by Tony to talk to him.

 I smiled "Things couldn't be more perfect-" before I could finish my sentence I was interrupted by the deepest, loudest voice I ever heard. 

"Lady Morgan! You have returned!!" Thor came running down the hallway straight toward me. I braced myself for impact. Thor picked me up in a tight hug, almost making it hard to breathe.

 "H-hey Thor! C-can't b-breathe..." I choked. Thor set me down, taking my hand in his and giving it a gentle kiss. "My apologies, fair lady. How have you been?" 

"Haha I've been just great Thor. I sure have missed you though. Tom talks about you all the time."

 "Thomas! Ah yes, where is your betrothed??" Thor asked, looking around. I pointed to the bar table, he nodded and ran straight for him. The two embraced and began a long conversation.

 "Morgan, I think maybe we should ditch these dorks and go get ready." Nat commented, I nodded "sounds like a good idea." I took my bag from Tom "Nat and I are gonna go get ready. I'll see you in a bit." "Sounds good, love." Tom said, kissing my forehead. Nat led me down the hall to her room.

****unknown POV***

"We're almost in position sir." The pilot exclaimed from the carrier jet. "Perfect. Load the missile cannons and suit up, men! We make our move tonight!" The commander ordered. The men shouted and cheered as they prepared themselves. "Sir, Stark Tower has the ability to pick up the ships signal before we're anywhere near it." "Then go into rogue mode and shut off the damn signal! This time, the Avengers will not stop us."
