Rain.

It was in his shoes, in his hair, and pretty soon it would be soaking the poor boys books and laptop too. A great way to start the school year.

God damn it. I've run out of battery. How am I supposed to get back home?

Because of having recently moved he didn't know his way around the town yet. Maybe having listened to his mom about the weather that morning would have been a good idea but the day had looked too bright that morning, not even a cloud had decorated the sky.

As soon as a coffee shop appeared with a flickering open sign and roses decorating the glass window, the boy rolled to a stop and hopped off his beat up bike, in hope that they would let him charge his phone.

There's no one in here. Is the coffee that bad?

"Hello! Welcome to our shop! Please make yourself comfortable." a happy voice greeted from behind the counter.

What a drag. Why is this person so happy? its raining up a storm outside and he looks around my age too. Wouldn't he be starting school tomorrow?

He offered a nod but wondered if the boy had even been able to see it what with his eyes seeming to be glued together from that too bright smile he was offering.

He shuffled his way to the back of the shop trying to find a wall socket. Once he found one he quickly plugged his phone in and took out the newly bought school supplies. The notebooks seemed to be in good shape, but the planner that he had stupidly put in the front pocket was completely soaked through.

A waterproof backpack is what I should have gotten.

Whatever, the planner probably would have ended up going unused. Who uses those things anyways? It's twenty eighteen, phones exist-

"Would you like to order anything?" a voice interrupted his thoughts

"Huh?"

"Uh... yeah, black coffee will be fine, thank you"

"I'm sorry, our coffee machine is under repair,  but would you like to have a tea or maybe some pie?"

This bitch. Why didn't he say something before?

"Fine I'll have some peppermint tea."

After a few minutes the boy had come back with the tea, carefully setting it down before the annoyed black haired boy who had started to internally cry at how his life had gone all wrong.

"I'm sorry we didn't have any coffee available" he offered a slight bow.  "I'm Jimin by the way," offering a kind smile

"Yoongi"

"I haven't seen you around did you just move here? Though not many people come here, pretty much everyone who lives here has come at least once you see. So what grade are you?"

Not many people come here then that's nice. I might keep coming then.
And what is it with all these questions? At least give time to answer one of them.

"Yeah a couple of days ago and I'm going to graduate this year."

"Ah really? I'm on my third year but I'll also be graduating this year"

He does look like the smart type now that I take a good look at him

Cute

"I like your notebooks by the way.  Pink huh?" he said while stifling a laugh.

Oh
