*Hayley's POV*

"Mommy, mommy!" My daughter Anne yelled running towards me.

"What is it baby?" I asked.

"Who is this?" She asked handing me a picture.

I looked at it and it was a picture of Brendon and I at the restaurant where he proposed to me. "That, is your father."

"Well, where is he?" She asked confused.

I choked back a sob and smiled at her. "Tell you what, you go put some shoes on, and we'll take a drive."

She nodded eagerly and ran to her room. I sighed out and put on a pair of white flats and grabbed my keys and phone. "I'm ready!"

"Alright. Come on you little troublemaker." I said picking her up.

Anne looks like a spitting image of Brendon. She has his brown eyes, and her long, black hair stops at the middle of her back. For a five year old, she has a lot of energy. She's just like Brendon too. She gets in troubles and she's always curious. I don't know how that is possible but, I guess it is.

I drove us to the cemetery where Brendon was buried and I grabbed her hand and took her to his grave.

"Why is Daddy here Mommy?"

"Because somebody hurt your Daddy. The person who did that also hurt your aunties, you're godmothers, your soon to be best friend, your godfather and your uncles and grandparents." I explained.

"Why did he hurt them?" "Because he wanted to hurt me." I replied softly. "Why?" "Anne, just stop asking questions for now, please?" I snapped.

She looked hurt and nodded. I sat down and touched Brendon's headstone. I cried a little before noticing Anne had disappeared.

"Anne?" I called out. I got up and walked around. "Anne! Anne, baby, where are you?" I yelled. "Anne?!" I started crying before I found her talking to a stranger.

"Anne!" I yelled running to her and picking her up. I cried and looked at her. "Don't you ever run off like that again, do you hear me?" I asked sternly.

She looked scared and whispered, "Yes ma'am."

I laughed out and gave her another hug. "Thank you." I said to the guy that was sitting with my daughter.

"Hey no problem. She's a great convincer. She convinced me into giving her my ice cream." He said.

"Hey, it was cookies and cream!" She protested.

I rolled my eyes and said, "Just like your father too."

"Where is he anyway? Your husband I mean." The guy asked.

"Oh uh, he's in that grave over there." I pointed to the cemetery and he nodded.

"That's why she was upset." He said.

I nodded and he held out his hand. "I'm Austin, by the way."

"Hayley." I replied shaking it.

"You know, for a mom you sure are beautiful." He said smiling.

I blushed and tucked my faded orange hair behind my ear. "Thanks."

"Here's my number if you need anything." Austin said handing me his number.

"Wow, pretty gutsy are we?" I asked smirking.

"Actually, I'm pretty shy and reserved." He corrected.
