Hunting the alpha

Chapter 6:

When class had finished the bell rang loudly waking me up from my day dream and scaring me slightly. I quickly got up and began to back my books back into my bag before anyone else's could start, I needed a head start to be able to find Katie and avoid "E". I ended up being the first to leave and I dashed out of the door quickly.

The corridors were crowded and it was difficult making my way across to Katie's locker. I glanced behind me every few seconds to see if "E" was following me because I was not in the mood to speak to that mutt. I headed straight and had my head hung low so one would bother me. I was a few feet from Katie's locker so I lifted my head up to see where I was going and began to walk faster.

Before I could get to Katie's locker I felt a strong hand grab onto my shoulder and yank me roughly out of sight. I heard the sound of a door closing and the sharp sound of a lock. My breathing began to quicken and my heart was pounding. I quickly pulled out the gun in my bag and clutched it tightly in my hands. I saw a pair of two electric blue glowing eyes staring at me then suddenly the lights flipped on. The person was towering over me and their heavenly cologne filled my nose.

I looked up to see who it was and of course it was "E". He was looking down at me with an amused smirk on his face. His eyes were still glowing bright blue and his gaze was still sharp. He seemed to be staring at every inch of my face memorising the details , his eyes slowly trailed down over my body and down to my hands.

" you can put the gun away" he said rolling his eyes.

I quickly put it away having the sudden urge to listen to what he was saying.

"Sorry" I said

"Don't apologise it's what you do everyday isn't it?" He said harshly.

"Don't talk to me like that." I replied

"Or what?"

I racked my brain for a quick response that would put him in his place.

"Or I'll hunt you down" I said with a sly grin. " as the princess of my hunter clan I can do that."

"And as the future alpha of my pack I could order for everyone one of your people to be shredded."

I stared up at him in horror. He was the. Future alpha. I then realised that I needed to get out of there. I couldn't be associated with him either.

"I need to leave we can't be seen together" I said trying to make a run for the door.

A low growl escaped from his throat and in an instant he had two oh his hands at each side of my head. I wasn't afraid of him even at this threatening moment. His eyes were again electric blue and he in haled a deep breath of my scent from near my neck.

"We have a deal between both sides that we won't kill each other at school." He said rolling his eyes again.

"I hope you know that even though we are mates we can't be together." He said shutting his eyes.

"Are we even mates?" I said "we are forbidden to even touch each other unless we are in battle."

He took a  look into my eyes for about 3 seconds.

" I don't know how we are mates but I made no mistake that day in the woods"

" does this mean your in love with me or something?" I said accidentally thinking out loud.

"No I'm just connected to you but we have to push it aside." "And I think you should know I have a girlfriend."

Form those four words my heart began racing and beating rapidly. All I felt was anger at the fact he had told me I couldn't be with anyone or I would be marked and jealousy because I still had this weird pull towards him that
I couldn't explain. I felt disgusted
. I pushed him away and stormed out of the door.
