There is a proverb, "Life is all about ups and downs" that proverb is always understood during the last few minutes of someone's life before the line becomes a straight white line without anymore movements. At that moments it's understandable that a person is now free from all the stress and all the diseases and all the hardships of life. But it's true that there is life after death.
After struggling for 3 days, Margaret finally gave up her fight with life. The line that was proof for her fight with her life was now just a simple white line on the ECG machine. Her fight was over.
Margaret Thatcher Juliet was a 34 year old lady who got married to Harrison Thatcher, who is just a year elder to her. Harrison was basically the Duke of Archnivich and his mother was Queen Mother Alysia Thatcher. Margaret was the daughter of the Archbishop of Hannarate, the neighbouring island.
Margaret and Harrison had been married for 5 years now and to celebrate their anniversary they were on a vacation in Milano. She used to love shopping. No one could have stopped her from shopping ber heart out. In basic words, she was a shopaholic.
One day, Harrison stayed back at the hotel because he had some crisis going on in his state, so Margaret without thinking twice left for shopping, alone.Everything was going on fine until things changed for her completely.
After a while of shopping alone she decided to go back to her room to her husband. While on the way, the driver was talking over the phone continuously even after her telling him to hang up. He had refused to listen to her and so he continued.2 minutes later,
People at the Walking lane began to run for help. Fire and smoke gushed out of a building. A cab was rash driving and had crashed straight inside the lobby of a hotel. The driver of the cab and the lady in the back were rushed to the nearby hospital.
The driver was announced death at arrival but the lady in the back was still alive. Her ID card had the name in caps, 'Margaret Thatcher Juliet'.
She had her wallet and mobile phone missing from the site of accident.
She had 15 fractures in her whole body, her skull was very badly affected.
Somehow Harrison wad traced down due to the ID card and hotel room details. He was not able to do anything but to rush to the hospital. The doctor told him specifically, "Even if she lives, she'll never be the same." But still Harrison had some faith.
She was in coma. She went through 9 surgeries within 72 hours.3 days later.
Margaret was going through a heart bypass when she finally gave up. She finally gave up all her dreams. Her line was over.
Harrison was sitting in the waiting hall waiting for the doctor to tell him something good. But instead all he heard from the doctor was, "Margaret gave up."
His dreams shattered. He wss so shocked that he was not able to cry a tear. No one was there to help him through the tough time as he was out of state.
He was finally let allowed to see the lifeless vessel of his wife.
Seeing her, he just went there and sat beside her for hours, looking at her face and thinking, "How did this happen?", "This was not supposed to happen.", "How is she still so beautiful?" And numerous other questions wandered his mind.
Finally he gave up and tears started to roll down his cheeks.
He had to make arrangements for her funeral. He had to involve himself in some kindof task, he thought. He had a state to think of. But still he was sitting beside her, holding her hand.Everything was happening so fast.
On the other side of the bed, something moved but no one noticed.
Again.
This time Harrison thought he saw something but didn't care about it much.
Harrison stood up and left the room to make arrangements back in Archnivich for the funeral of a royalty.
On the edge of the bed sat Margaret looking at him trying to understand what wss happening. She was trying to talk to him but he couldn't here a word she uttered. She had no emotions left in her either. She could just think now.
Looking at her original body and then looking at her transparent soul. She thought "So close, yet so far."
