"WELCOME TO THE KITCHEN SUNDAE CHALLENGE" I said as I held up my ice cream scoop with my dads apron that said "Kiss my buns" over my shirt.
Brenton was recording me.. I started to laugh(while trying to maintain a straight face).
"Today we are going to show our viewers how to create a fabulous kitchen sundae."
"Now Mr. Thwaites if you'll follow me.."
I created the most largest sundae in the whole world.. Or the largest that I've ever seen! And believe me living in NYC (where there are ice cream stops everywhere) I've seen alot! it had syrups and sprinkles and gummies and chocolate chips and so much more!!
Brenton stop recording once I finished my masterpiece.
"What are we going to do now? With this ton of ice cream?!" He asked me.
"Eat it!" I said.. Grabbing two spoons.
We sat and started to eat.. When my father came home.
"Chloe! Sam! Chelsea! Girls?" He said shouting in the foyer. He needed to shout that was the only way anyone could ever hear anyone!! It was such a big house!
"Dad?" I shouted from the kitchen.
Brenton looked at me like a scared puppy.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Well,Sam the last time I saw your father and may I add the first time I met him. He said he wanted to punch my face.. And started for me"
"Oh stop. He never said that!"
"He hates me!! I kept you out way passed your curfew. I know we fell asleep on the beach.. But try telling him that! He probably thinks I nailed you.. And is surprised you aren't pregnant!" Brenton exclaimed.
"Brenton he was just at a angry point. Believe me if he sees that I'm making friends.. Yes even boy friends then he won't mind."
"Boyfriends? Eh? So am I your boyfrie-"
"Sam!" My father interrupted as he began into the kitchen.
"Dad! Hi! How was work?" I pretended to act interested.. I always did that for my mom at home too. That was what I called adult time to talk.
"Good. Why is he here?" He said looking at brenton out of the corner of his eye.
"Dad. This is brenton.. I invited him over. He is my friend after all." I said.
My dad gave Brenton that (I wanna talk to you in private look) but he instead he said. "Well.. Nice to meet you sir."
They shook hands this was a good sign!
"I see you guys helped yourselves to the ice cream."
"Haha yeah sorry dad."
"No! Glad you eat it. Chloe has been craving it lately.. Due to the baby you know?" He grabbed a spoon and made himself a little bowl.
My dad sat across from brenton and just stared at him.
"Dad.. Everything okay?" I asked.. Trying to get him to stop
"You look very familiar. Have we met?" My father asked brenton scratching his beard and looking at him like a speciman.
"I don't believe so sir." Brenton said getting nervous.
"Hmm! My mistake. You'll have to excuse the old bag! Still a little lost even when I'm 48!" He shouted.
Brenton and him started laughing my dad asked Brenton all sorts of questions. Like where he was born and raised in Australia.. If he had ever been to the USA.. If he like to do any sports in particular..
"so what are you kids thinking about doing tonight? Any plans?" He asked brenton and I.
"Nope not particularly." I said.
"We could go to the peir and fish? You good at it?" Brenton looked at me.
"I have a ton of fishing stuff from a camping trip that never happened in the garage!" My father said.
"I'll have one of the maids bring it down for you!"
"Well then.. It's a date! Thanks dad!"
"Do you need money for bait?" He asked.
"I've got it covered!!" Brenton said smiling at me.
Brentons phone started to ring. He looked at his phone as if he was introuble..
"Uh, excuse me for a sec.. I have to take this.. it's work!----------- Sam meet me outside when your ready to go i'll be on the porch!" he said as he exited for the front door quickly.
"Where does he work?" my father asked curiously.
"He works at a coffee shop! That's how we met actually!" I said.
The maid entered the kitchen saying all the fishing stuff was packed and that Brenton was waiting outside for me. I grabbed my cute American Eagle flip flops and was off!
