Dear Beatrice- We are like boats passing in the night-particularly you.
A/N: This story takes place sometime after the fourteenth chapter of the ASOUE book *The End* if you have not read it I suggest reading it before reading this one-shot because it contains minor spoilers. Disclaimer: I do NOT own A Series of Unfortunate Events.

"Violet. Violet. Violet wake up!" Groaning Violet opened her eyes and woke up to Klaus shaking her awake. "What is it?" She asked looking around the boat. Everything seemed alright and Sunny and Beatrice were fast asleep. "Look over there." Klaus said pointing at the horizon where storm clouds were forming.
"Oh." "Yeah..." "Okay we need to find away to avoid the storm and get somewhere safe." "Already on it" Klaus said heading towards the rudder. "Do you need help over there?" Violet asked him while heading to the mast to turn the sails.
"I'm good" Seeing Sunny wake up he asked her to help Violet with the sails after she made sure the baby was alright. "Um Klaus" "Yeah Violet?" "There's a slight problem. We're too close to the storm, it's pulling us in." Hearing that caused Klaus to remember the last time they had gotten trapped in a storm with Count Olaf after the burning of Hotel Denouement.
Shuddering he brushed off the memory and thought of what to do. "Violet can you pull down the sails and Sunny can you get some rope so we can secure the ship?" Nodding in agreement the two sisters went and got the preparations for the storm ready while Klaus went and made sure that everyone and everything was safely secured to the ship.
"Klaus where's Beatrice?" Violet asked in panic. "I have her!" Sunny said. "Okay we're already right?" "Right!" Having finished all their preparations the four orphans anxiously held on to the ship as they entered the storm.
